Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Kate and I am a massive animal lover. I grew up with everything from fish to horses, birds to bunnies and cats to dogs! **Please note that I do take more than one or two dogs at a time. I will ALWAYS disclose this to you. I do not take aggressive dogs. I firmly believe that other dogs in the house helps encourage play and keeps them happy and healthy.** I have pet sat for many of my friends throughout the years and I just love spending as much time with animals as I can. Currently, I personally own a puppy named Elektra. I am a student at UCSD with a pre-med/pre-vet major and I am a professional horseback rider. Animals are my life! I live in a condo with a small run. My dog, Elektra, is lovely with other dogs and loves to play. I have been dog sitting and boarding for 3 years with over 10 different pups and I’d love to meet your dog/dogs! Throughout my life, I have fostered (and adopted) cats and dogs for about 7 years. I have completed basic puppy training with my dog and we are on our way to become AKC GC certified and ADA Service Dog compliant! I welcome all dogs of all shapes and sizes into my home. Sometimes, during stays, I will have multiple dogs staying at my place. If this is a problem, please inform me prior to booking! Of course, I will always disclose if another dog will be staying with yours. Detailed Pet Past: When I was born, I was brought into a home with three dogs, and ever since then, my house has been bustling with creatures. I love having a full house of animals; they are the best roommates you can hope for! For the first part of my life, I only ever had Airedale Terriers. When I was in eighth grade I started to foster dogs with my parents. At first, it went well, but then we brought in Sawyer and we had to keep him! I have had horses for most of my life as well and am a professional dressage rider; in 2016, I went to the Junior Olympics and won bronze! Throughout my days, I have owned eleven horses, but currently I am down to one (Antonio). I have also had cats, three throughout my life, birds, two, and a bunny! Elektra is currently my only dog and one of the reasons I am interested in boarding other dogs to give her some extra company and play! Another reason is that I really love having a near pack of dogs and I hope to have my own one day.
Reviews
Kate was awesome! We used her several times, and just love her. She immediately won the heart of my most nervous cat which put me at ease right away. Her communication was great, she sent videos and pictures which helped my nerves be more calm while I was out of town. These 3 cats are my world, and I don’t trust them with just anyone.
Kate was great in taking care of my dog for boarding! She sent pictures and videos daily and provide me comfort that my dog was enjoying himself!
Thank you Kate for taking good care of Jayden! Kate responses the message very quick and shares Jayden pics during the day. Highly recommended Kate and will ask her to daycare Jayden again.
Kate did a great job doing drop-in visits with my cat while I was out of town. He is generally scared of people, but she was able to coax him out of his hiding place with some treats. She was always professional and on time. There was good communication about every visit. I will be hiring her again if I need a pet sitter.

Information Kate C. would like to know about your pet
I welcome any and all breeds including the smallest of small and the biggest of big. I also accept Staffys/Pits/etc — I love them, actually! Please let me know if your dog has special needs, medications, or any specifics about them that will facilitate the best stay! I am trained to give pills, IM injections, and flea medications. I request that all dogs be up to date on their vaccinations, flea medications, and general well being. Please state if your dog has any allergies or any behavioral issues. These do not deter me from taking them in, but I do need to know about them. If your dog has a specific routine, I will do my best to accommodate it myself to keep them on schedule and as happy and comfortable as they can be! I request that dogs come with: -Food from home -Leash and Harness -Crate (if they have/need one) -Treats (if owner has preferred brand) -Lots of Energy! Elektra and I can't wait to make some new doggo friends!
A typical day
Your dog will receive walks according to his/her schedule or his/her energy needs. They will also have continuous play time! I will sometimes bake dog treats if I have the time to do so -- depending on how many dogs are staying and my other commitments. I am full time with Rover. This means that I will be doing drop in visits while your dog is at my house. This usually takes at max two hours. Your dog can sleep wherever they'd like to: whether that be on my bed, in a crate or on the floor. All animals are allowed on my furniture (beds, sofas, etc). If this goes against your training or policies, please let me know so I can make adjustments. I have reliable transportation to take your dogs to the park, or in the unfortunate case of an emergency, to your preferred vet. If the incident occurs after hours, I will take your dog to the Veterinary Specialty Hospital at 10435 Sorrento Valley Rd, San Diego, CA 92121 after talking with the owner and Rover.
