Licensed (non-practicing) Vet Tech!
Pet care experience
I'm a licensed Veterinary Technician (in the state of South Carolina) but left practice when I moved to Colorado around 2.5 years ago. Now, to get my animal fix, I pet sit for friends and coworkers since I can't have a pet of my own in my apartment complex. I work downtown and though I have a pretty flexible schedule and can take breaks throughout the day, I don't have an accessible car during my week days. Happy to do home stays further out from downtown, but typically that would need to be for pets that don't need lunchtime walks. My priority is the care of the pet, so if I'm not sure I'll be able to get to them for a pee break, I won't commit to the job.
Reviews
Kate's awesome. She left the house in great condition- even washed the sheets- and I came home to a happy, non-stressed pup. I would definitely recommend using her!
Kate is the greatest! I have two dogs, one who is young and very active, and another who is a senior and likes to take her time on walks-- Kate is amazing with both! She is thoughtful, kind, very knowledgeable (she is an experienced vet tech), and communicative. I trust her with my girls and would recommend her to anyone!
Kate has been wonderful with my dog. With her vet tech background she has always gone out of her way to provide advice, affection and helpful information. As my furry friend gets older and has more needs I trust Kate to care for, advocate for and keep my dogs best interests in mind.

Information Kate C. would like to know about your pet
No breed preferences, but I'd like notes on what they eat, when they need to eat, whether the owner is comfortable with them being off-leash (in a hiking or dog park setting), how they are with other dogs and people (whether they should be walked down Pearl Street at noon, for example), and what they can have for treats. For home stays, can they go for hikes on the weekends or evenings?
A typical day
Anywhere downtown- the park at 19th and Canyon is fun, or we could walk up Mapleton towards Sanitas. North Boulder Park is nice too. For areas further out of town, Coot Lake is great, Eagle Trail is great, and Dry Creek is fun for dogs. Lots of my friends in the area have dogs, so it's possible that dog social events would be an option!
