Hi! I'm an experienced dog walker & sitter and have four dogs of my own, plus a pig, cat, and tortoise. I enjoy dog training as a hobby with my own pack and helping others the best I can with theirs. I've been raising and training dogs ever since I was a child and am comfortable around all breeds, ages, and sizes.

This was the first time I’ve been away from my pup, Sherman, for an extended amount of time, and Kate helped me stress WAY less! Sherman had the time of his life playing with Kate’s animals and I loved getting pictures and videos of his playtimes. Sherman is excited to go back some day!
My experience with Kate was fantastic! My dog came home exhausted (in the best way) from all the playtime with his new friends :) I will definitely be booking with her again. I appreciated her texting updates with photos and videos as well. Thanks again, Kate!

I currently work as a freelance consultant, so my schedule is very flexible. Most of my work can be done remotely, so I am available to ensure your pet is being well-taken care of. PLEASE NOTE: For overnight sitting— I prefer not to sleep in your home. I can stay late and come early in the morning. Please specify if you NEED someone to actually sleep in your home. For boarding--My husband will also be in the home when he's not at work, so, your pet will have another human to care for them.

Please let me know if your dog has any medical / special needs / allergies / medications etc. Please let me know if your dog has any triggers / aggression / behavioral habits you're working on. Pulls on the leash when they see other dogs walking? Has separation anxiety? Just let me know :) Please specify if you are requesting an overnight stay are wanting me to sleep in your home. And please let me know your dog's FAVORITE things!! Treats for doing a trick? Belly rubs? Favorite toy? Fill me in on all the things they LOVE so I can ensure they have a great experience!
A typical day
For Boarding- Dogs can play around our large enclosed yard and we have some additional furry friends to keep yours' company. The yard offers a lot of shade, fresh water, and kiddie pools for taking a dip to cool off in the warm weather if they like! We also have a large open space home with all hard floors, and nothing breakable or harmful. Pets are allowed on the couch to snuggle or to lounge around as they like. If they are crate trained, they will never be crated when unnecessary. Please let me know if you'd like your dogs leash-walked and how long you typically walk them for. We have a nice park with a good sized loop right around the corner. For walking- Please let me know your dog's walking habits - the pace they prefer, any triggers, favorite spots, etc. We can take leisurely sniffing strolls, or pick up the pace for more exercise, whatever they like!

Availability
I'm an athletic person and enjoy outdoor activities with my dogs, but we also enjoy snuggles and belly rubs just as much! I've volunteered at a number of rescue shelters and believe that all dogs deserve love and care. I'm passionate about positive reinforcement training and don't believe there's such a thing as a "bad dog." I also have experience working with elderly and disabled dogs and know how to be extra gentle and patient. I’m very comfortable around extra large breeds and extra high-energy dogs as well.
