Former professional dog trainer
Pet care experience
Dogs have been part of my family for most of my life. My dogs have been my babies. I was a professional dog trainer and dog sitter before my fintech career. I have been a volunteer dog caregiver at multiple SPCAs. Reading a dog's body language is important to me as a method of communication and empathy.
Reviews
Our dog had a great day with Katana. Happy walks around the neighborhood followed by restful naps.
From the moment I met Katana for a short meet and greet I knew that Chelsea would be in great hands. It was also so nice getting thoughtful updates and cute photos throughout the day. I'm sure that Chelsea felt cared for and at home and I will definitely be booking more stays.
Duke had a fantastic day with Katana. She is so kind, attentive and caring. Katana provided a lot of updates for us and gave so much attention to Duke. We trust her to take care of our little guy. We'll definitely use her again when we need someone to take care of Duke.
Zeke had the best time with Katana! She was very proactive in communications and provided photos and updates throughout the day. I appreciate her kindness, attentiveness and all the TLC she provided to my furry baby. Katana clearly knows how to care for dogs. I highly recommend, and Zeke looks forward to staying with her again soon!

We have a two-story townhouse (1300sq/ft) and the dogs will stay sheltered within the home during the day. I take many breaks and we have a enormous private park behind the townhouse for potty breaks and to stretch our legs. We also have a sunny patio for optional sunbathing. There is also a sectional patio sofa for couch sunbathing.

Information Katana A. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know your dogs history. How old was it when you got them. How many years have you had them. Do they stay indoors or outdoors in the daytime? Do they sometimes mark or have potty accidents inside? Any behavioral quirks or issues? Are they verbal or do they signal with eyes, paws or body language?
A typical day
Mornings start with stretches (belly rubs) and a immediate morning potty. After breakfast, go on our neighborhood morning walk around the parks. Return home for remote work. Dogs stay indoors and next to me on the couch next to my desk or my bed. Attention and scratches here and there until lunch break and soak in the sun on the patio. Little potty break at our back park. Back to work, more attention and scratches. Stop work at 5pm and go for the long walk. Evenings at home with couch snuggles and bedtime where the pup feels most comfortable.

I liven on Bay Farm Island in Alameda with my 11-year-old daughter. She is bananas for dogs and I have been teaching her everything I know about caring for dogs. I am a 100% percent remote worker with a couch next to my desk to keep the dog company all day. We often take long walks along the lagoon.
