Pet care experience
I'm a dog lover with 15+ years experience petsitting and dog walking. I have worked in the pet care and animal welfare industry for the past 8 years as a veterinary assistant, animal welfare/shelter professional, and vet receptionist. In addition to my part-time position at a local veterinary hospital, I love to petsit. Your pet's comfort, happiness, and safety are always my #1 priority. I pride myself in keeping your pet's daily routine as consistent as possible in order to minimize their stress and maximize the fun while you're away. I am available for overnight care in your home or mine- whatever works best for you. I also provide routine care like daily walks, feeding, and playtime during the week. I'm comfortable administering medications and can perform other pet-related tasks on a case-by-case basis. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have, and I'd like to meet you and your pet in order to make sure we're a great fit. My pet care clients are like a part of my family- I am still in touch with many of my former clients from my home state of Oklahoma! Kat was our go to Pet sitter for several years. It was wonderful to have her be responsible for our four animals - two dogs and two cats. She is both very knowledgeable and very caring as a pet sitter. She is excellent with both dogs and cats. As pet lovers know, leaving the animals for vacation is very emotional and sometimes the vacation is ruined by worry over the pets left at home. With Kat we never worried about our pets. We loved having her and would continue to employ her if she did not move to the DC area. I would not ever hesitate to recommend her for dog sitting.

A typical day
Petsitting is my full-time job, so your pet will have plenty of company. I'm home nearly all day to shower them with love! I also have two dogs and three cats that they can enjoy supervised playtime with. When your dog arrives at my home they'll be introduced to our fur family, and then we'll go play in the yard to let everyone get the excitement out of their system. Within a few hours it's like they're part of the family! Our neighborhood has wide sidewalks with plenty of room for long strolls, and we have a fenced backyard and a cozy deck that we like to hang out on. My personal dogs are never allowed outside alone, so trust that your pet will always be supervised and safe. We love our visiting pets, and they get all the best snuggles while we watch TV or read in the evening.
