Pet care experience
I love ALL dogs with my entire soul and I will definitely treat your pup like family. I started dog-sitting and walking after the spring of 2015, when my best (fluffy) friend, Alice, passed away. Now it's how I get my dog fix! And I love my job. My dog was a medium-sized Sheltie mix, so I'm very familiar with caring for high-energy canines. Alice also had a congenital heart disorder, so I spent many years ensuring she got her pills on time every day and otherwise caring for her special needs; I learned canine CPR for her as well. As she aged, she developed joint issues and became generally low-energy, so I have plenty of experience in caring for senior dogs and those who otherwise have limited mobility. I love dogs who want to cuddle all day too! (I never mind being covered head-to-toe in fur!) I have experience caring for both large and small dogs and tending to breed-specific needs. (Also, I'll always have a soft spot for fluffy herd-dogs!!)

The kitties were so nonplussed when I got home after being gone for a week and a half! I can tell they were well taken care of and barely missed me at all!
Kat has been a wonderful dog sitter for us on many occasions. She has a genuine love for animals and has been so kind and caring for our old pooch. Kat is very respectful, trustworthy, and responsible. I feel very confident leaving her in charge of our animals. Charlie (our dog) is always happy to see her. :)
I always ask Kat to come and stay with my two kitties when I'm out of town. One of my cats is sort-of, hmmm, special needs . . . he has anxiety issues that sometimes cause him to lash out. Kat is respectful of his boundaries and always treats him in the most loving way. It makes it so much easier to leave when I know they're with their Auntie Kat.
Where do I begin to describe how great a pet sitter Kat is? She was left responsible for our huge Great Pyrenees, two cats and six chickens for several days. Everyone was cared for above and beyond. We returned to a very spoiled menagerie and a well cared for house. She was so great at communicating questions or concerns and sharing pics of snuggle time. We have already reserved her for our next trip (next week!).

A typical day
I really enjoy hiking, so wherever possible, I love to take dogs out into any natural area - like large parks, lakes, rivers and creeks - for long walks. I'm a runner, so I will gladly accept the challenge of a high-energy pup! In addition, I have lots of experience caring for dogs who want nonstop playtime, so I'll happily play for hours!! (Really! Dogs make me so happy.) And if your dog likes to snuggle, bring on the fur!! :)
