Pet care experience
I grew up with a high-energy dog and have 4 years of experience as the pet and house sitter for multiple-dog families. I've been bitten, scratched, and peed on but I've never met a dog I didn't love!
Reviews
She kept us updated on everything. And always took pictures
My husband and I came to know Kat when she stayed in our home for several months 3 years ago after she came to work in Portsmouth, NH. We had two dogs and it was obvious from the get go that Kat was a dog lover. What began as a way to help her out became a lasting friendship with a dog sitting relationship. Kat loved the dogs and they loved her. She stayed in our home on numerous occasions after she moved into her apartment in order to care for the dogs. She was always prompt, trustworthy, respectful of our home, loving and caring with the dogs. On one occasion the dogs even had an overnight with her so that we could have a large gathering at our home without concern as to what to do with the dogs. We can recommend Kat whole heartedly to anyone without reservation as a caregiver for their dog.

To minimize the disruption to your dog's routine I'm most happy to house sit for you while you're away. I live in a house with an unfenced yard so boarding your pets in my home is not an option - thank you for understanding.
Information Kat G. would like to know about your pet
I'd prefer to meet your dog(s) before sitting for them for the first time and go over your expectations for our time together. I've previously sat for dogs who were on strict feeding and exercise regimens, including a senior dog who was partially blind and deaf and a large juvenile who was high-energy. If your dog has a particular schedule, medications, special needs etc. please let me know prior to the start of the sitting so I can give them the care they deserve.
A typical day
Unless otherwise instructed, a typical weekday routine with your dog(s) will include breakfast in the morning before I work, and in the afternoon there will be a walk in the neighborhood followed by dinner and indoor play with toys and lots of belly rubs! Evenings will have some winding down time so your pet can be soothed for bed, and of course there will be bathroom breaks each visit and treats as needed. Weekends follow a similar schedule except with a longer walk during the day (or two shorter ones spread out) and playtime. I generally spend 10 minutes at a house in the morning, 30 minutes either at noon or 4pm (schedule-dependent), and 20 minutes in the evening. This may vary based on how many dogs are in your home and what my doggy workload is at the time, but we'll figure out the schedule particulars before I sit for you.

Availability
I currently work from home full time and am most available before 7am, around noon, and after 3:30pm for house visits and walks. If your dog is all right having a lazy day followed by fun and enriching evenings and weekends then I'd be happy to hear from you!
