I like cats with a C too! I grew up with a lot of dogs on my street and in my extended family, and my first friend was our English Springer Spaniel, Bonnie. My family's dog, Nina, a Cairn Terrier-Poodle mix, currently lives with my parents in Wisconsin. I tell her she can come stay with me anytime she wants! Aside from babysitting, catsitting for our neighbors was my other side hustle as a twelve-year-old. My family would often board our family friends' and neighbors' dogs when they would go out of town, which became relevant experience when I was hired by a professional pet care company in Chicago. During my time with Dogalicious, I walked dogs of all ages, breeds, and energy levels. I worked with each owner to incorporate training with the younger dogs, and visited the older dogs' favorite spots and neighbors. I frequently sat for both cats and dogs on extended overnight stays, sometimes administering medication and adhering to the schedules and training that the pets were used to. As a company, we provided updates for the owners after each walk and once or twice a day for each sitting, which I would get a little creative with to make the owners feel more connected to their pets. I also have been somewhat of a magnet for lost dogs—they find me! I am a hardworking, reliable, Midwestern snowbird and I will care for and love your pets as if they were my own.
