Worked in animal shelters and pet stores for about 5 years. Dog sat and walked friends and families dogs for about 10 years. Personally own a horse, two cats and three reptiles. Experience and educated within dog behavior and body language. I work with positive reinforcement training so I use treats and toys as reward for your fur baby to learn with in their own thresholds and bounds. Experience and welcoming for reactive dogs, I can assist with redirecting behaviors for you and your pooch to help them and you.

Kat is a highly skilled dog whisperer. She was not scared of my dog at all and did not balk under my sweet dog’s intimidation techniques!!! She followed my exact instructions with her and now my dog is so comfortable with her, she comes into my home and walks my dog without my supervision!! Having a highly reactive dog, following instructions, flexibility, confidence and positive reinforcement were my MAIN qualifications for someone walking/hanging out with Daisy. For pet care in my home if there is any reason I must leave my house/not maintain full supervision your pets will be crated. In your home I will follow any care instructions you provide for me to ensure the same consistent care you provide for your pet. While hiking and walking for longer durations of time I will check and maintain proper fitting harness or collars, check weather and check for all signs of comforbility.

I like to know how your dog behaves within many scenarios both calm and stressful. If they are reactive what they are reactive to and typical triggers for your dogs. Do they have any resource guarding that I need to be aware of. Any behavioral concerns or anything that you notice with your dog that you would like to look into. Does your dog have have medical issues, food allergies, restrictions? What does your dog like and dislike to do and what their daily schedule is usually like to help match that for you.
A typical day
I like to take walks around areas full of nature to enrich dogs. A dog that has an enriched walk typically exercises their brain more which can help with calming a dog energy levels for longer periods of time. I enjoy working on leash behavior to have a nice loose leash walk with dogs while still allowing exploration. I am open for longer hikes that are an hour or more.
