Thoughtful, caring animal care

Pet care experience

I have a lifetime of experience raising dogs and cats. I love animals so much! I love to create a peaceful, loving, fun atmosphere for them to enjoy. I have trained multiple puppies into adulthood and they are all very well behaved sweethearts. I create customized plans for each pet to suit their specific needs. I love to communicate with pet owners to understand exactly what it is they are wanting for their pet. With athletic doggies, I do quick paced, long duration neighborhood walks and offer extended trail hikes for extra stimulation and exercise. For social doggies who love the dog parks - I can take your dog to play with other dogs at one of our fun local dog parks. With sweet kitties and indoor pups, I am happy to do drop-in visits to offer companionship, light play, reinforce training, do a simple potty break, give daily medicine, or whatever your furry babe needs. For overnights, I can stay overnight, providing companionship, care, fun and exercise. . .or I can do regular drop-ins to your home at whatever frequency your dog & cats require. Every pet is unique. Customized services and rates are always open for consideration. A bit about me: I am a long time Bend local, a massage therapist, a mom, a loving pet owner, an outdoor enthusiast and I work part time doing pet care like walks and dog/cat sitting. I adore my teddy bear of a dog, an English Mastiff, and my two orange kitties! I am a huge cat lover. I just love engaging with cats. . .whatever their interpersonal style is! I'm looking forward to caring for your pets!

Kat is one of the best dog walkers I have ever worked with. Her availability is great. Her prices are very reasonable. Her experience with animals in general is superb — but her dog knowledge specifically add a value she flaunts for free. Most importantly, Trak’r just loves her to death. I’m getting jealous! Brad

Kat was so awesome and helped out on very short notice. Wilbur loved her immediately and came back a tired, happy boy. Will book with Kat again for sure!

Kat was great! We were in a hurry when we left and Kat made us feel very comfortable about leaving our puppy. She gave him treats and entertained him and was very responsive via text. Thank you so much!!!

Kat did a great job looking in our two cats to make sure they were OK while we were on vacation. She is very friendly, communicative, and dependable. We will ask her to sit again for sure!

Information Kat C. would like to know about your pet

What is your dog's most commonly held disposition? (Hyper, calm, energetic but self controlled, etc? ) What kind of triggers does your dog have? (certain types of situations, particular animals or dog breeds that cause it to charge/attack/runaway?) On a scale of 0-100, how sure are you that your dog would never pee or poop indoors? How is your dog on a leash? (a puller the entire time, a puller just in the first few minutes, a calm walker who stops to sniff a lot?) What sort of pace would you like your dog to be walking at? Are there any injuries or weak limbs to be careful of when walking, running, jumping? Has your dog ever bitten into a human, dog or other creature, and broke flesh enough to make them bleed? How is your dog with cats?

A typical day

We will play with soccer balls and tennis balls in my big fenced backyard! Neighborhood walks are always a fun adventure - taking time to sniff out every corner and bush that excites pup, while also keeping a quick pace for a healthy cardio workout. We will explore and find all the fun stuff...like nearby trails! We can take a car ride (if parent approved) to a nearby trail head for a stimulating walk through the woods! Dogs love shevlin park, the river trail, etc! During pet sitting, your pet will be loved on, sweet talked and may receive an amazing pet massage (I am a licensed massage therapist). Also, I reinforce existing training by using commands known to the dog and rewarding them with treats, praise and love. I will competently maintain and routine care like brushing or administering medicine.
