Responsible, Reliable Pet Care!

Pet care experience

I am a Certified Veterinary Technician, additionally certified in pet first aid and CPR. We have a house with 0.5 acres of land, which is fenced with 4 ft chain link fencing. We have 3 dogs, a male 13 year old German Shepherd mix, a 7 year old Flat Coated Retriever, and a female 12year old Great Dane/Lab mix. We spend lots of time with our dogs out in the yard playing fetch, going for walks and runs, taking trips to the dog park in Forest Grove, and visiting the pet stores. If your dog loves outdoor fun followed by couch cuddles, you've come to the right place! About this sitter: I am a Certified Veterinary Technician with additional certifications in dog training. I own three dogs, two cats and two horses currently, but have in the past owned sheep, ferrets, chickens, rabbits and more, and have experience with many types of exotic pets as well, including hedgehogs, parrots, sugar gliders, reptiles and amphibians . I am available for overnight stays, weekend sitting, and evening care. I look forward to meeting you and your four legged family soon! Why I love dog sitting Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a white German Shepherd named Karmen, who treated my brothers and I like her puppies. She and I used to share bologna sandwiches, alternating bites! After her there came a series of other family dogs-Chessy, Juliet, and my parents current dog, Frank, a Husky/Border Collie mix. I have three dogs of my own at the moment, as well as two cat, and I don't think I will ever live pet free! My experience administering medication I can administer oral, topical and injectable medications if asked. Please let me know ahead of time, provide me with your pets usual schedule, and don't forget to refill your prescriptions before you head out of town!

We have two high maintenance, high energy, quirky Welsh Terriers. They are a hand full and require constant attention. We needed a vacation and knew kenneling wasn't a good option. By dumb luck I stumbled on Rover and Kassie. Kassie accepted our request for sitting and stopped by the house a week before we left. She stayed for over an hour, letting the dogs get used to her and vice versa. Even though we were strangers, after we met her, we had no concerns about letting her live in our house for the week. Kassie was wonderful. She kept us informed about what was going on during the week and let us know what kind of trouble the dogs got into. I hope the next time we need a dog sitter she is available and accepts the challenge. Thanks Again!

Kassie is just the greatest! My dog George is always quite excited to see her and her crew of animals! I think it's quite the fun vacation (doggy Disneyland) for him. He gets lots of playtime and enjoys the company of her dogs as well as the run of her large fenced in property. I highly recommend her!!!

Excellent sitter! We won't hesitate to have Kassie care for our dogs again. They were well cared for and received lots of TLC. So nice to have them be able to stay in their own home rather then going to an unfamiliar kennel while we were on vacation

At my house, your pets will be treated like my own! We allow pets on the bed and the couch, and go on walks, runs, and hikes in the evenings and on non-work days. When staying at a client's home, I do my best to be respectful of your rules, schedule, and property.

Information Kassie R. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know any medical issues, behavior issues and likes or dislikes before I sit your dog. I want your pet to be as comfortable as possible while you are away, the more I know about him or her, the better I can do my job!

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks We spend a lot of time at the Elm Creek and Crow-Hassan dog parks, and would love to take your dog along for the ride, too! The Elm Creek dog park is several acres of fenced land, with lots of trees, hills, and a pond to explore. The Crow-Hassan park is 40 acres of unfenced land bordered by the Crow River on one side. The path goes through woods and fields, and our dogs often like to fetch and splash in the river. If you are not comfortable with your dog going to the park, we also take leash walks around Dayton, which has a nice system of bike paths and parks to walk through or run through, depending on the dog! Your dog's sleeping arrangement Where your dog sleeps will depend on his/her normal routine, and how well they settle in with the rest of the pack. Of our four dogs, one sleeps crated at night, while the other three sleep loose on the floor, or sneak into bed with us (they think we don't notice!). If your dog prefers a crate, we can set that up in the living room or our bedroom, whichever is your preference. If they are used to sleeping loose, we have lots of dog beds, blankets, and other comfy areas set up around the house. Time I'll spend with your dog Your dog will be engaged in activities with me and my dogs (if staying at my house) ranging from playing fetch and chase games in the yard to trips to the dog park or even just snuggling on the couch or chewing on a treat. Tired dogs are good dogs! Time I'll spend with your dog When pet sitting, I will be with your pet most of the day, barring short trips out to run errands. Extra house-sitting services I would be happy to perform additional tasks while you are away. Just let me know ahead of time what needs to be done!
