Pet care experience
About Me: I grew up working on my family's dairy farm in upstate NY and fostered my love for animals by pursuing an Animal Science Degree at Cornell University. When I finished college, I became an Animal Nutritionist and created custom diet plans which aided in health recovery, maintenance and performance. I have taken care of many different species and breeds, and am familiar with common veterinary practices and procedures. Recently, I chose to transition to human medicine and have served as a Phlebotomist, Surgical Assistant, and began Physician Assistant school at Albany Medical College, in 2022. These careers have all helped shape my knowledge and expertise in the health sciences, allowing me to create a safe, loving and fun environment for your pet(s)!

Kassidy is a great dog owner and a great person to have watching your animals. Not only does she love animals but she has been around all types of animals during her childhood and career. She currently has two dogs and they are very well cared for and loved!
I would recommend Kassidy to any pet parent looking for someone to treat their pet like their own. Kassidy is easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. Her love for the outdoors and being active makes her the best pet caretaker in my eyes : ).

Kassidy J is amazing with my dogs! They love her more than they love me. She is kind with my babies even though they can be jerks. I am confident with going away on vacation knowing she will be there. Kassidy is the most trustworthy person I know. She keeps they key to my house! I am able to care for animals with special needs, as long as the proper care, scheduling, etc is discussed up front. My animal science background gives me excellent skills and knowledge in the field of animal medicine, nutrition, training, fitness, and overall wellbeing.
A typical day
I am very active, but also appreciate time to relax. Therefore, I love animals of all types and can appreciate the benefits of a playful day at the park, a long hike, a leisurely walk around town, or a snuggly day on the couch. Whatever your animals are up for, I am happy to accomodate!

Availability
Since I will be a medical student for the next few years, my class schedule will be posted at the beginning of each term. I am most likely to be available in the afternoons, but am happy to share all of my scheduling information with my clients to ensure that I am available when and where they need me. I would love to drop in for a play date before/after class, or stay the night (I am always excited to have a furry study buddy!). If you have needs other than those outlined by my Rover calendar, please reach out! I may have openings for dates/times that the program does not allow me to input accurately.
