Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs in the family since I was a child, and they’ve been all sizes, temperaments and with different needs. I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with multiple R+ trainers in the Boston area and actively practice various activities throughout the day to help dogs who are reactive, fearful, shy and/or have separation anxiety. I’m happy to incorporate any trainings you’re working on with your pups while they’re in my care. ***I also do not believe pet services should be financially inaccessible. Kassandra is the most wonderful dog walker. She has excellent experience handling dogs and does a great job with our 75 lb. bully mix. Kassandra loves Mia like her own and it's so wonderful that they spend time together. Mia is so happy when Kassandra comes and loves her so much. Her communication is great and we enjoy her as well!
Kassandra was super communicative both before and during Lily's stay. Lily had a great time with her and Mochi!

Note: I do not have a car, so if your home is easily accessible by bus, train or foot, then I can definitely help with walking and checkins. For Boarding there is no distance limit, so long as you’re okay with dropping your pup off.

Let me know if they’d enjoy fenced dog parks and can have dog-friendly human treats (carrots, blueberries, watermelon, etc.). I have experience with dogs across spectrum of behaviors so let me know about any outdoor/indoor triggers of fear or anxiety, resource guarding, and leash-pulling so we can work on a plan for your pup :) I will do everything necessary to make sure they are comfortable until their #1 human returns!
A typical day
I love taking dogs to local light hiking paths, dog parks, or even errands to store/markets. If we’re staying in, I have a bunch of toys and mental stimulation games we can work through.

Availability
I am a graduate student, and spend no more than 4 hours on campus, typically in mornings; occasionally I will need to come back to campus in the late afternoon, but my office is only 10 minute walk away so I’m rarely gone for long. The rest of the time (afternoons and weekends) I spend either at home or outdoors at parks or on hikes. My life truly revolves around dogs! Stay at home movie nights with lots of treats or hangouts at the dog parks—you name it!
