I’m a dog owner, with a big fenced in yard. I have two energetic, but gentle kids who love dogs. I own a rough (rough refers to coat length) collie that is very friendly and playful. He stays up to date on his shots and is good with other pets. I have handling experience. I believe in teaching the essentials to a dog so they learn to listen and obey; and not to jump on people. My husband broke this last rule. If you decide to let me watch your dog for the day, please have a crate available. I crate trained my dog and find that they love them too. It helps them feel safe. But it is essential also for me to leave for short periods in case I need to run an errand, etc. I do not allow the dogs to roam free, or be outside, when I am away. I do not leave dogs outside unattended just in case they find a way to escape. I do not leave dogs to play unattended, just in case my silly dog gets a little too excited and runs into our fire pit (it has happened). In case of fleas, they happen! My dog is given Bravecto to prevent them, but I do not want them introduced to my cats, which are indoor, and therefore not treated. This has worked well for me for years. If they do get a flea, then I treat immediately. But please be sure your pet is current on his/her flea medication to prevent the spread. Thanks!
