Experienced & Attentive Pet Lover
Pet care experience
I've had pets for as long as I can remember-and I couldn't imagine a life without them. My passion started at 4 with setting up obstacle courses in my front lawn for our dog and chickens, then grew to include sheep and goats, then onto horses and my dad's oxen (they weren't very willing on the courses XD). My love continued throughout the years, and I attended Vermont Technical College for Veterinary Technology for 2 years before family health problems pulled me away. While at VTC I learned basic first aid and CPR for dogs and cats, learned warning signs for diseases and problems, animal behavior and how best to read it, proper animal restraint in stressful situations, and also acquired basic grooming knowledge of dogs and cats. After a short break from school, I started working at a dog and cat boarding facility where I got even more experience in the care and handling (and bathing) of animals, and got a closer look into the business side of animal services. I have since left the facility, and have a few clients who have followed me and supported me with my decisions and I'm happy to call friends now. I currently own 1 male 15y/o neutered cat and a 2 y/o spayed Calico which DO NOT live with me, but live at my mother's where we spend a good chunk of our days. He gets along with most female cats, and is okay with older dogs, and she loves to play with anyone new brought in the house. They have their own separate room they can go in at any time for space if they get overwhelmed, but they're pretty used to the flow of things there. When not spending time at "Nana's" house, you can often find me out with 1-6 dogs daily going on hikes in the woods, exploring new fields and streams, and just having a great time enjoying the outdoors.

Thank you, Kasey! I can tell Odin had a wonderful day with you. He looks so happy in all of the photos 🙂

Kasey made me feel so comfortable. I was able to travel and work without a worry! Thank so much

Where to begin? Everything was amazing from start to finish. It’s the most comforting feeling to have someone you love (our pup) being left in safe hands. Kasey truly loves what she does and absolutely loves taking care of our little furry ones. It truly shows. We most definitely will be back since we frequent Vermont bi-annually. Thank you for everything. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Kasey has a fantastic rapport with our dogs and they adore her. She's responsible, caring and dependable.

I have an enclosed porch off of my front door, a large back yard with 2 runs, and a lower yard that leads to the river. There is a huge field right across from my place, and a park about a 10 minute walk from me, as well as a few more fields and not-so-used roads for long walks. While inside, animals have free access to all of the house and there are doors to every room in case of needing to separate animals. Honestly, I've only ever had to do that once, and it was because I was told a dog was good with other dogs so the owner didn't have to look for someone else, and the dog was NOT good with others. Dogs will go with me whenever I leave the house, and if there was ever a reason I had to leave them they would either be crated until I get to know them, or my mother will sit with them. I always have a camera (or 2) up and running if I ever have to leave the house while pets stay behind, although I RARELY have things/activities that I can't take my animals with me. Dogs are allowed on furniture, and will have the option to sleep in my bed with me unless otherwise stated by owners. I also have a large crate set up in the bedroom, and a second one I can set up in the living room if they are more comfortable with that. All animals will be in my room with me at night time to ensure nothing happens, and multiple potty breaks are offered throughout the night. While at my house (unless stated otherwise), you can expect your dog to go for lots of walks, have plenty of treats, go to dog parks (behavior depending), have good indoor/outdoor playtime ratios, swimming, car rides, cuddles, and cute pictures!

Information Kasey B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet has any special needs like certain treats and medication, or preferences that will help us have less problems during our time together. Please also BE HONEST about anything to do with your pet, especially if they are NOT good with other dogs, as we often do drop-in visits and walks with other dogs throughout the day.
A typical day
While in my care, you can expect your dog(s) to get tons of options of what they feel like doing. I always have other things for them to choose from if they don't want to participate in the activity I had planned such as; swimming, walks, cuddles, tricks for treats, car rides and so much more. If your dog is a wrestler, I often will get down on the floor and wrestle with them and tire them out. We sometimes will go to the river or play in our sprinkler, spend time in the yard having a fire or chilling in the hammock. There is a dog park about 30 minutes from my place that I like to bring dogs once I know their temperament around other dogs. If the dog is a good rider and likes to, we'll go for a few car rides, especially to the pet store to pick out their own stuffy. We also have plenty of slowed down time with movies and breaks throughout the day.

Availability
I provide pet care services full time, and am usually available for most requests. I do have a store that occasionally will call me to cover a shift, but it's very sporadic and they are always okay with taking no for an answer if I have something else booked. As always, the more notice you can give me the more likely it is that I can fit you into my schedule. Currently for house sitting and boarding, I need about a months notice as I'm booking up fast.
