Pet care experience
Hey friend! The name is Kasden (they/them pronouns) I'm a queer, agender person and I have about 5 years of pet care experience. I had a dog growing up with my family and raised three huskies with a partner (if you can imagine the amount of hair), one of which was a foster! Having raised huskies, they broadened my dog walking skills, that included leash/harness training. With three of them in the house, I learned a lot of temporal and behavioural skills. One of them had epilepsy, so I have experience with medicinal distribution (oral pills, emergency shots, vet visits) and seizures, which included separating other animals when they occurred. I currently volunteer at Toronto Humane Society in the dog ward and am receiving further training with them.

Kasden is amazing with our nervous rescue pup. They are reliable, thoughtful and super flexible. I would recommend Kasden to anyone looking for someone who will treat their dog like their own!
There are very few people I've known that are more passionate about dogs. Walking through the streets and traveling with Kasden is sometimes difficult because they are drawn to every dog they see, and dogs are equally drawn to them. I don't think I've ever seen a dog have a bad reaction to them, or even much less than excitement to be completely honest. I've also witnessed the care they give to dog while house sitting with them; they're very strict with feeding and medication times and incredibly careful with any known medical issues and triggers of said issues. If I ever needed someone to care for any dog I may have I would 100% ask Kasden first and trust that they were in good hands without question.

A typical day
I love interacting with dogs both physically and mentally. There are a lot of green spaces around my place and I have access to a car (if that's okay with parents) to take them to other parts of the city for more interactive walks. I would provide attention in whatever ways the dog is motivated, with either treats, toys or positive attention!

I'm currently working part-time during the day which leaves early evenings open. I also volunteer two days a week that follows a similar schedule but can be worked around.
