Hello, I’m Cassie! I recently graduated from the university with a degree in law with a master's thesis ‚The Problem of Subjectivity of Animals in Philosophical and Legal View’. I grew up in a home where dogs have always been family members, with our wonderful English cocker spaniel named Narina. However, my full-scale adventure with dogs started over 13 years ago with my beloved chihuahua Casablanca. With her I visited my first dog shows, and over time, I became a titled junior handler and professional handler at national and international dog shows. More chihuahuas (Sophie and Silvestro) joined our family. At that time, together with my mother, we ran a small home kennel under the name of Castitas Amor, affiliated to the Fédération Cynologique Internationale. In 2013 my next dog - border collie Joker - made my dreams of dog sports come true. Together we were preparing for the agility and dog frisbee competitions. Unfortunately my friend passed away too soon. It wasn't until a year ago after this loss that I decided to adopt another dog and that's how Luca came to me from a Polish shelter - a working Belgian shepherd mix. Currently, with him, we focus on good upbringing, socialisation and gradually start training for cynological sports. My main interests are agility and dog frisbee, but especially preparing a happy and obedient companion dog. Over the years, I have undergone many training courses in the field of dog training, but also the basics of behaviorism and first aid. I am constantly expanding my competences through regular participation in workshops and webinars conducted by specialised dog psychologists, zoophysiotherapists and dog trainers, such as: ‚Stages of working on separation anxiety’, ‚Social Learning in Dog Training and the 'Do As I Do' method’, ‚Impulse control - can you teach the dog calmness?’, ‚Working with a reactive dog in practice’. I have also completed a certified training ‚The Use of Cannabinoid Therapies in the Treatment of Animals’. Since 2021 I have been cooperating with Von Schenken Grund border terriers kennel, being responsible for delivery and raising puppies, taking care of their first months of upbringing and socialisation, along with training for dog shows and grooming. Likewise, I expand my knowledge during training with my own dog under the guidance of the best trainers from Poland and the USA. I believe that effective dog training is based on choosing the right methods, trust and good relations between the animal and the human.
