Friendly, flexible, patient!

Pet care experience

I'm an animal lover, who has 10 years of active dog-sitting/pet care experience. Twenty years, if you consider the pets I've had while growing up. I'm patient and easy-going, and I would love to book a meet and greet to see if we're a good match. I know you're looking for someone to treat your pets like they're family, and giving you the peace of mind your pets are safe while in my care is my ultimate goal. I understand we can't all spend the day lounging with our best -furry- friends at home, (like we'd rather). That's where I come in, to help keep your fur-baby protected, happy, and entertained while you're away (or out of your hair while you get some work done). I have experience with many animals/pets - not only cats and dogs (of various ages, breeds, and sizes) but hamsters, fish/snails, turtles, birds, snakes, chickens - and I'm always open to meeting and learning about how to properly care for more. You can rest assured that I will treat your pets as if they were my own. Your pet would have my undivided attention, as i only book one client at a time. Though, I am open to multiple- pet homes, and have experience walking more than one dog at a time.

Karysa was so great with our pups! She took great care of them, sent lots of pics & left the house in great condition. We would definitely have her back for our next trip!

Safety, trust & environment

When staying in your home I usually close all doors to rooms not in use. Mainly to keep my mind at ease while in a new place, but also to control the environment in which I leave your pet. The routines and rules you've created with & for your pet will be followed and respected. I'm comfortable with kennel/crate training, I'm also comfortable with free- roaming while I'm gone. They will have to be okay with going at least 4 to 5 hours between potty breaks. (*If not, they need access to a relief area or I may not be the best fit for them)

Information Karysa Y. would like to know about your pet

- Please have any medications, conditions, or triggers listed in dog- profile - Any behavioral issues (history of aggression?) - Separation anxiety? - Please list special routines (how often you walk them, feed them, etc) and energy levels - Are your dogs friendly with other dogs, people, smaller pets, children? - I do prefer a harness, instead of collar, for walks and any outdoor adventures. Also a fixed-length leash is preferred. - No breed preference I'm sure they're the "goodest" boys and girls, the more information I have about your pet and their personality helps me to plan/coordinate and provide the best possible care for them.

A typical day

Walks would be taken in and around your neighborhood, and any close dog-friendly parks you're comfortable with. Depending on your pets energy level we could enjoy a nice stroll or fetch/frisbee. Hiking and maybe some tug- of -war. Cuddles and face licks, as a thank-you are always appreciated.

Availability

I am currently working part-time, about 4 to 5 hour shifts/2 to 3 times a week, so I will have plenty of time to play with and give your pups/pets the attention they need. Monday through Sunday I'm typically free and available (at some point of the day) for walks or drop ins. *Overnight stays: The days I work, your pet will be left alone (either crated or free roaming) for up to 4 to 5 hours (depending on distance from your home to work).
