Pet care experience
I'm a freelance writer and blogger and have the flexibility of working from home. I have two chihuahuas of my own. They are both older dogs and pretty chill. I have a masters in mass communication where I studied animal behavior and the media's influence on society's views of animals. I adore all living things. If I could have any job in the world and money wasn’t an issue, I’d open my own animal shelter and animal protection organization. Having the resources to shelter as many animals as possible would bring me the utmost joy and sense of fulfillment. I'm more than happy to brush your dog/cat and offer delicious homemade treats. Please supply a list of any medical conditions or allergies your animal may have. **IMPORTANT** If your dog is not comfortable with people, please do not request my services. I don't want to take any chances risking your dog's safety or my own. Thank you.

Karyn was great! She even kept SiSi when we were running later than the planned pickup time.
We are so excited that Karyn has joined Rover.com! We travel at least once a month and our pets just love her. She takes Sisi, our Jack Russell mix, on long walks to the park. Sisi doesn't get that every day so it's a treat. When we tell her that Karyn is coming, she tilts her head and barks. She knows Karyn's name! Our cats are not as responsive, as you might guess, but they are content and well fed. They speak when we return and that's an improvement. I highly recommend Karyn as a dog sitter.

We have 2 dogs that ADORE Karyn. We call her the dog whisperer. They love to walk with her. One is an escape artist and she has never gotten away when walking with her. We also have cats (domesticated and feral) and they wait for Karyn to pull treats out of her pockets for them every time she comes by. We love Karyn and do not trust our animals to anyone else.

I don't have breed preferences. I only prefer that your dog is well with other animals. I have two chihuahuas. One is 15 pounds and the other is 9 pounds. They are playful dogs, but lazy for the most part.
A typical day
Your dog would join myself and my two dogs (I can take your dog on separate walks if you'd prefer) on walks around my neighborhood as well as surrounding parks. At home, the dogs usually nap or play with their Kongs and other toys. It's always nice to have company.
