Pet care experience
I graduated from UC Davis, California and worked in San Jose, California where I had most of my previous dog sitting clients. I recently moved to St Louis for graduate school and was hoping to continue dog sitting while here! I have adored dogs for as long as I can remember, and have a beautiful golden retriever for 5+ years at my parents house. I have stayed over at a friends' house to take care of their 2 medium sized dogs- a Labrador and a mixed-breed rescue of theirs. I don't have my own place so I cannot have my own dog, but I will take care of your dog like it was my own! I will run with it for as long as it wants, play with it and calm it down if there's a storm outside. And of course, your house, your rules. If you say no to the dog sitting on the furniture, there will be no sitting on the furniture.

Kartik regularly provides our k9's with first class care at a very reasonable cost. Not only is he professional and well trusted but he is also pleasant and enjoyable to communicate with. We have every intention of continuing our ongoing Rover relationship with Kartik for the foreseeable future.
We hope we can have Karthik watch the dogs every time! I know the dogs and our home are well cared for!

I won't be able to accept pets in my apartment currently. But while we're at your home, we abide by your rules. If taking care of dogs at your house, I typically like to go over rules such as which rooms/ couches are they allowed on and what water do you want them drinking etc. When taking them for a walk, if there's particular routes you'd rather we take or avoid, I like to go over those as well!

I'd like to know its habits, or if it needs any special treatment. For example, my parents' dog is a golden retriever and he really doesn't like Labradors for some reason. So, if the dog I'm about to sit has some similar quirks I would like to know those. Also, if the dog has dietary restrictions, and so on, then I would really appreciate knowing those beforehand as well.
A typical day
I will take the dog(s) to nearby parks, and run or play with them. I'm an active grad student, and would be more than happy to play fetch. I won't be able to offer dog sitting since it's not my house, however I can come and walk or exercise the dog at the nearby park.

I'm currently in grad school, so it gets busy but is also flexible. But rest assured, I won't accept a dog sitting stay unless I'm certain I can give the appropriate care and exercise to your dog!
