Pet care experience
I have an open door policy when it comes to dogs and genuinely want them to feel at home while they are staying with me. I have a 7 year old Golden Retriever named Huckleberry and it is just him and I at home! We live a fun and active life and do just about everything together. If your dog can tag along for the ride, I am more than happy to bring him/her on our adventures. If you are more comfortable with your pup staying home, I will make sure Huck and I are home with him/her during their stay with us 😊 Communication before I board a dog is so important so I know the best way to care for them. I previously worked at a groomers/ doggie daycare as a bather, where I worked with all breeds of dogs. I enjoyed this line of work because I got to love on, care for, and tend to each dog's needs. When I'm not working, I enjoy going to the beach, taking my pup swimming and on walks, and traveling when I can! I like keeping my dog active and outside as much as possible, which I think this is important for every dog to live a healthy and happy life!

She’s not only thoughtful about their comfort, but she also makes sure to get them much needed play time in. Her Golden retriever Huckleberry is the sweetest and best play mate ☺️

I love taking dogs on walks, playing in the yard with them, and snuggling on the couch. I have a fully fenced in backyard which is an added bonus.

A typical day
I live very close to Lake Harbor Park, Pere Marquette, and many other amazing beaches and trails. My dog and I spend a lot of time outside walking and swimming (when it's nice). My neighborhood is very walkable and we utilize that when I don't feel like driving or it's too cold to be near the water. Otherwise, we play in my backyard, do brain games inside, and snuggle on the couch.

Availability
I work full time Monday - Friday so I prefer weekend boarding, but I can do weekdays if needed. My dog comes to work with me everyday and depending on the situation I can either bring your pup to the office or work from home.
