Pet care experience
I have taken care of mostly small and medium sized dogs and feel comfortable with all breeds. I enjoy walks to the park and beach and like playing fetch, going on hikes, or just cuddling with pooches. If you want your dog to run off some of their energy, I'd be willing to incorporate being your best friend's running partner into my exercise routine; just ask. ;) Along with taking care of your doggle at my place in Boston, I can take care of your fur child(ren) AND your place when I'm in NY. I split my time between NY and Boston for business. I'm based in Brooklyn while in NYC, but willing to travel across all boroughs and even upstate for longer stays as I want the opportunity to experience more places. If you have questions or need any type of reassurance, please let me know. I'm super direct and honest and open to feedback; so, don't hold back. Tell me what you and your dog's needs and expectations are; I'll listen and deliver or let you know if we're not a good match.

Karla is amazing, my two anxious dogs fell in love with her. She sent the cutest updates everyday and kept us feeling at ease, happy to have someone to trust with my babies.
Karla did such an excellent job dog-sitting! It was our first Rover experience, and Karla rocked it from start to finish. She sent pics from her first contact with our dog, and continued to let me know how things were going for the whole stay. Karla checked with me whenever she had questions. She took great care of our dog, including lots of walks and snugs and car rides. Our dog loved her time with Karla, and the house was in perfect shape when we got home. This was such a positive experience. Karla set the bar high!
Karla was absolutely wonderful with our dog! Very attentive, lots of walks in the area, a spacious front yard for running and playing, and photo updates to keep your mind at peace!
Karla is fantastic! She stayed with our 2 dogs while we were away and was wonderful. She was very attentive and communicative. We get so nervous about leaving our babies, but she made it easy!

If your dog has health issues or any limitations due to age and mobility, then we adjust to ensure our guest pup has a good time. When I’m taking care of your pet in your home, I follow your rules and expectations.

A typical day
I’m surrounded by all kind of parks but not many dog parks so there’s a lot of walks to nearby green spaces. We also take rides to different places for hikes and properly fenced dog parks if your pup is into it. I’m warm weather and when we can help it, we go to the beach and seek out dog-friendly spaces near water. If I’m in your home, I follow your routines and explore your neighborhood and surrounding areas. I can also get down with your dog’s ball and/or frisbee obsessions and ensure they get time in the day with their favorite activities.

Availability
The work I do is mostly on my laptop, which means I’m typically around and always looking for off-screen breaks. While I may be required to leave for the occasional meeting, it’s usually just a couple of hours of me being away.
