Pet care experience
I grew up in a household were as long as I remeber we always cared for pets; from cats, dogs, parakeets, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, ferrets, turtles, gold fishes and even a shrimp! (Which eventually got eaten by the turtle a very unfortunate day.) This experience while growing up taught me to be responsible, considerate, caring, kind, compassionate and loving to all living creatures. Eventually, Max (Dalmatian) came into my life and he became my most loyal companion. Always happy to see me and always there by my side. We were inseparable! Most recently, after caring for him for 15+ years (rescued at 2) he waved his tail a last good by at the age 17 on May 12th, 2021. Without a doubt, I miss him terribly but every single memory of his life makes me smile and I am forever grateful for it. Caring for him taught me sooo much; always greet my loved ones with happiness when they come home, unleash my talents & chase after my dreams, sniff out opportunities... DIG LIFE!! Early 2022 in Max’s honor, we welcomed into our home a 6yr old Weimaraner named Toby. Quickly enough, he warmed our hearts with his quirks and loving ways :) although like most rescues, Toby struggles with fear aggression and separation anxiety. So, through tons of exercise, socialization, counter conditioning, desensitization, and positive reinforcement Toby has come a long way since day one! Although is an everyday every minute on going training haha it’s extremely rewarding see him thrive!! Toby enjoys his meal time and all kinds of physical activities from going for bike rides, rollerblading to swimming and playing fetch. Anyone who knows Toby & I or got the pleasure to meet Max knows, that I take great care of my furry friends and therefore feel confident and have a peace of mind I will do the same their loved ones. Because of Max :) I have experience with dogs through out all their age stages, as well with special needs like physical disabilities, or special care (medicated baths, oral, optic, otic medications, and dietary supplements.) Because of Toby, I continue to learn more about animal behavior and learn hands-on what truly takes to help rehabilitate dogs through positive behavior modification training.

Karla did an amazing job with my highly anxious cat. She was very patient and made extra effort to slowly introduce herself. While staying at your home, if there is a need for me to either step out for a few minutes or a few hours, Toby would join me whenever I go. Therefore, rest assured all pets will not be left unsupervised at an given time. In a nutshell, I would care for your fur babies and your home as if it were my own and communicate with you immediately if there were any safety concerns. Additional to providing pet care, when clients are out of town I secure all mail & packages delivered as well provide with complimentary plant care.

I would love to set up a meet and greet with you and your fur baby to make sure we are all a good fit. That way we can discuss more in detail about their care, find out if your pet feels comfortable with me and vice versa. It’s very important to know as well if your furry friend suffers from behavioral issues or special needs like; food aggression or diet restrictions, physical activity, medications, PTSD just to name a few. I want to be able to provide you and your loved one with the best care I can possibly can. Sometimes during Walk services and after a behaviour assessment, I am able to bring other pets along depending on the type of service and length of the booking to keep you loved one with company and socialization. If this were to be the case I would communicate with you before hand.
A typical day
Please know I not only care for the physical health of your loved one, but I also care for their emotional wellbeing. I am a very affectionate caregiver, who will pay close attention to their needs, even when that means sometimes that I have to care for them extra time while you are away. I love to take long walks, play and talk to them. During walks, if there is an opportunity to make a new friend or say hi to an old friend I will take the time and encourage social interactions. Social interactions could vary from either dog to dog or dog n' human unless there are behavioral & safety concerns. Depending on the type of service there are other days where we can go to Chaparral Dog Park (with your permission) run free and meet other furry friends too. *LIABILITY RELEASE DISCLAIMER Please be aware that when in OFF LEASH areas like Dog Parks, dogs may be exposed to diseases and/or at risk of injury due to nature of the activity. Pet parents who agree either verbally or via text message to a visit to the Dog Park release Karla P. Mundy, of any liability associated with such activity.

Availability
When I am not providing Pet Care, I am running my small business so I am able to adjust my schedule and activities as needed. At the same time, because my schedule is constantly changing and to ensure availability it is importat to be able to get a few weeks notice when planning for long term care or when several visits per day are needed (while client Travel specially during the months between October to March.) When there is conflict of schedule, I do work with a couple other experienced and reliable sitters that help me complete the booking but, I would communicate with you before booking the service if it were needed. For ocassional visits, I do best in accommodating requests when I get notice about a week in advanced to ensure availability. ON-DEMAND & OUTSIDE RADIUS DISCLAIMER *On-Demand (same day service) will incur in a 30% price increase and Meet & Greet can not be guaranteed. *Drop in & Walks (Outside 3miles Radius) requests can be considered. Service consideration will depend on the type & length of the booking. Meet & Greet fee is $25dlls. HOUSE SITTING REQUESTS *House Sitting / Meet & Greet (Outside 3miles Radius) will incur in a $25 dlls Fee. All House Sitting requests require a proper and successful Meet & Greet prior to confirm the booking. ** IMPORTANT NOTE ** HOUSE SITTING SERVICES MAY ONLY BE TAKEN IN CONSIDERATION IF I AM ABLE TO BRING TOBY THE WEIMARANER ALONG. Toby is house trained, obedient and not allowed on furniture. Although energetic he is NOT a “playful” dog with other dogs. Toby does best with calm dogs who respect his space and understands his boundaries. In regards to my sleeping preferences, I rather sleep in a guest bedroom and although I DO NOT CO-SLEEP with pets, I can always keep their beds in the same room by the “human” bed to keep each other’s company during night time.
