I Iive and WFH alone in a spacious and pet-friendly studio apartment. I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of pet sitting experience (including DMV clients) starting from a young age. I was the type of kid that had a menagerie and have had experience with breeds and mixed dogs big and small, including rescues.

Karl is one of the best in the biz— professional, friendly, and communicative, it’s easy to trust him in my home and to care for my special needs cat. She gets stressed out easily and needs a lot of attention, but she’s always calm and happy when we get back from a trip if she’s been under Karl’s care. Strongly recommend him!

We booked Karl to stay with our dog for a week. We met Karl prior to booking the stay and were impressed with his maturity, attention to detail, and obvious concern that he was a good match for our dog. He arrived on time and was meticulous in his preparation. While we were away he was diligent about sending just the right volume of pictures/updates, not too many or too few. When we returned, the house was neat and clean and, most importantly, our dog was well and happy. From the pictures and videos Karl sent while we were away, it was clear that our dog was enjoying playtime with Karl and getting good outdoor time. We were very satisfied with Karl and would definitely engage him again.

I grew up pet sitting for friends and family and walked dogs after school all throughout high school. I pride myself in my ability to read dogs’ behavior and will go above and beyond to make your dog feel at home and you at ease. My goal is to replicate your dog's routine as much as possible and be communicative with owners throughout the booking process and stay. Can’t wait to welcome your dog into my home and treat them to a safe and fun visit! Does your dog bark at noises in the hallway? If so, respectfully please choose another sitter. I am NOT a good fit. I live right next to the elevators. I care about my neighbors and I do not board dogs that bark any more frequently than a soft woof.

A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs for walks in my neighborhood’s side streets and the nearby green areas (Meridian Hill, Rock Creek, Kalorama, etc.). If your dog enjoys dog parks, there's a chill one a stone's throw from my place. My dog-friendly building also has a small fenced-in dog run. Between walks, your dog can get fresh air on my fenced-off balcony and enjoy naps on the couch. And hopefully cuddles with me! :)

Availability
I work from home with flexible hours and can spoil your dog with lots of attention and walks throughout the day. I live an active lifestyle so I can keep up with energetic dogs and can accommodate the needs of slower and more senior doges too. I'm also a homebody and spend most evenings in, so your dog will have good company.
