Karl came and took Evie out twice during the day and she had a blast! How do I know that you ask? Well Karl was kind enough to send me photos of my pup while she was on her walks and give me updates about their adventures. This little extra consideration helped myself (and I'm sure Evie) to feel less anxious during a long work day. I will definitely be asking Karl to hang with my pup again!

Karl came into my life many years after my dog and cat became part of my family. Of course, as a pet parent, I was worried whether or not my girls would like him. My (now our) dog has some anxiety issues with new people and situations. It didn't take long for her to warm up to Karl and for me to trust him completely with her. He knows how to be kind and loving, when to put down his foot when she tests him, and, most importantly, how to keep her out of situations that stress her out or scare her and how to handle situations like that when they inevitably arise. Aside from my experiences with Karl and our own dog, I've seen him interact with other dogs, too. He wants to meet every dog he sees, always being respectful and asking first. He's slow and careful when meeting a new dog, paying attention to its body language before going all in for petting. He understands that while he may want to love on every dog, that every dog interacts differently with strangers. I would and have trusted Karl with the care of my (now our) dog in a heartbeat.
