Hello all, I'm Karissa! I grew up with multiple cats, my family's Border Collie, and a Pitbull named Dino. Starting college, I was planning to pursue a nursing degree. Things took a turn after I rescued a cat from the street and had to medically care for her. I realized my calling to work with animals, and have been doing so ever since. I am currently studying through the Penn Foster online program to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, cats, birds, bunnies, and some reptiles. I also have experience medicating dogs and cats of all temperaments. I have a true love for animals and their unique personalities. I want to meet as many as possible while being a helping hand to all pet owners!

Karissa was the answer to my prayers. I have a diabetic dog, Dexter, and I needed someone familiar with the disease and its management. Karissa working in veterinary care was a big plus. Karissa took great care of my dog. He settled right into her home. Karissa sent me updates every day with a photo. I think Dexter has found his home away from home.
My only concern with Karissa taking care of my dog, is that he may not want to come.home! She is responsive, caring, and provides daily updates with photos. I have peace of mind when I have to leave my.pooch.
It was the first time our senior dog was in a non-kennel setting. I wish I had used Rover.com sooner and found Karissa! During our meet and greet, I knew Duke would be well taken care of while we were away. She communicated frequently with informative updates and cute photos. My only concern was that my dog wouldn't want to come home with me! I highly recommend Karissa.
This was our first time using Rover and we were lucky to find Karissa. We were nervous leaving our dog because she had never been left with a sitter before, but Karissa was a great communicator, sent photos multiple times a day and took great care of our darling puppy. We recommend her! You can tell she has a real compassion for animals and our dog was safe in her care.
