Pet care experience
I studied pre-veterinary medicine and worked in animal hospitals and dog boarding facilities all throughout my college career. Now I'm a dog mom of two! All my friends and family call on me for trusted pet care, boarding, pet sitting, nail trims, walks and advice!

Karissa watched my two cats for one week. She followed directions I left for her and communicated with me everyday with photos and written updates. Through the photos she sent, you can tell she genuinely cares about animals and gave them quality time- she played with my playful cat and cuddled my cuddly cat! Also, when I got home, there were no litter tracks, wet food dishes were washed, and the poop bags were taken to the garbage! Will for sure book her again the next time I go out of town.
Karissa was absolutely phenomenal with my pug Bella. She was able to feed her its medication properly (even though she was stubborn and likes to eat around it) and come to play and walk her for at least an hour. She really is knowledgeable and you can tell has the expertise and passion it takes to care or animals. She even gave Bella a nail trim...which believe me is no easy task. 10/10 would will be using again!
Karissa took great care of our kitties while we were on vacation! She sent us some some pictures and videos of our fur babies while we were gone which was really sweet and comforting. You can tell she really loves and cares for animals. When we arrived home kitties had plenty of water and the litter box was clean. We would definitely hire karissa again!
Karissa took care of my 2 kitties while I was away on vacation. Not only did she follow my instructions to the T but she went above and beyond to give my kitties lots of love and send photo updates! I will continue to use Karissa when I need pet care. I recommend Karissa to anyone who wants to make sure that their pets are not only cared for but loved on!

I am versed in caring for different animals with different needs and am comfortable administering medications, providing extra special care that is needed (i.e. extra walks, pets, feedings, cleanings, nail trims, ear cleanings, you name it) and following specific instructions left by owners. I can help socialize by taking dogs out for walks with my own dogs, private walks however many times a day as-needed, kenneling before I leave or for bed time, and help teach new tricks.

It'll be helpful for me to know about social behaviors, behavior around food, any allergies and medications, and scheduled routines (ice cream or treat time at a certain hour). Knowing all of this information will allow me to provide the best time for your dog, kitty, or pocket pet while you're away.
A typical day
I like to the start the mornings with a nice walk to get the big stretches out and the blood flowing from the head to the tail, or nub, all are loved by me. We'll play puzzle treat games, go for a few more walks, throw a game of fetch or tag in the mix, cuddle, learn new tricks and refresh older ones too!

Availability
I am a paralegal by trade but am available morning to evening everyday and on the weekends so pet parents can go out and have a great time knowing that their fur-babies are in good hands.
