Pet care experience
I have had the responsibility of dog care since I was about 8. I enjoy training dogs, even though it requires lots of patience! At home, I would volunteer at the MOAS animal shelter to interact with the dogs there, because they did not receive a lot of attention. When I was younger I thrived off of animal planet, it suited me well in the long run because I am not a bad dog trainer! I also care for family and friends pets when they are away.

Karissa is a very responsible, loving caregiver to dogs. She has watched my two dogs (mini poodle and standard goldendoodle) several times over the weekend. My pups are always glad to see her arrive.

Safety, trust & environment
I do not have a fenced in yard, I have trained my dogs to stay within the boundaries. I use a long leash for playtime and a runner if needed. Accommodations can be met if a fence is required! I live in a quiet neighborhood on a lake with about 5 acres of land, no other houses are visible from my yard and it is a long way from the road (not many cars travel on). I go on a walk/run everyday that is about 2 miles in the afternoon! My family in the house love animals, they used to raise horses and say "horses are just like big dogs." My rescue pets in the house are older now, and do not mind other dogs.

Availability
I am available almost every night except for Mondays, there will be occasions that I may not be available, but that is rare! I will also be available most afternoons, I work part time and have class during the earlier hours. I will also be available most weekends, but clients will be informed of my needed absences.
