Pet care experience
I pride myself in being side by side with many dog trainers and veternarians over the course of my schooling. I am a pre-vet major at Auburn University, and would love the opportunity to give any fur baby whatever they need! My favorite things to do are to walk and play with them, but learning their individual personalities is one of my life's greatest pleasures. I've taken care of pets (my own and otherwise) for about 11 years, and I'm passionate about giving animals the time of their life in their stay. I am in school, but I am flexible. I have HUGE fenced yard!! and access to multiple dog parks nearby. I also will be in Alabama for at least 8 years, so I can take long-term clients and you can feel comfortable that I am always available for YOU and YOUR dogs needs. I am excited to meet your dog!

I read a bunch of great reviews so I was super hopeful that she would be a great sitter to watch my dog for the first time!! She was great about responding to messages but when I picked him up she told me he ate his bed and threw up an odd color. I didn’t blame her as my dog could’ve gotten anxious and has chewed his bed before - just never in the crate. But then I got home and looked at the food bag I had given her for him and it still had food in it. I gave her one cup total and told her 1/2 a cup per meal twice a day. She ended up having him until a little later at night so it ended up being 3 meals (the last which she didn’t feed him because he threw up) so when I brought him home he was shaking and I thought something was wrong with him. Turns out he was just starving and I fed him two meals worth and he quit shaking by the next morning. My dog is great being babysat and I didn’t blame her for when he jumped the fence either but this was a horrible experience for me and my dog.
Karrisa was an excellent sitter for our Maggie! I will use her again!
Very friendly and provided lots of updates. She took my dog to do lots of fun things. He had a great time
I have used Karissa's abilities as a caretaker for years. She is a friend of my daughter who, when she got two puppies, helped her raise them to very well mannered dogs (even taught them basic obediance commands). She absolutely adores animals and wants to see them happy and healthy.
