Pet care experience
My family got our first dog when I was 12 and I’ve had experience throughout the years caring for him. Apart from that I have been a pet sitter for my neighbor, and 2 family friends which in total have amounted to be 6 different dogs, a cat and a bearded dragon so I have experience with a lot of different types of dogs and different types of animals. Along with this I have been a volunteer dog walker and Homeward Animal Shelter for 3 years where I’ve had experience with lots of different dogs with different temperaments. I also do go to a college where the mascot is a real bulldog named Griff (so I really love animals)!

Karissa stayed in our house with Earl - not only was Earl well cared for but our house was also kept very clean! We received daily pictures and updates along with great communication. We would absolutely recommend Karissa to care for your dog.
Karissa is an amazing, caring, energetic, bright, young woman. She has a dog of her own and pet sits frequently for other families and individuals. She is all around fantastic with animals and pets. She’s got a true passion for animals and caring for them. She is truly perfect for this job, I couldn’t think of anyone better!

My house does have a fenced in yard. At a clients home I am easily able to crate pets if needed and I am able to keep my attention on one’s pets in order to keep them out of trouble and provide the best care possible.

I would love to know ahead of time if your dog has any specific behaviors/reactions towards things (such as uneasiness when putting on collar, fears they may encounter, etc) and if they have any special needs or specific instructions.
A typical day
I love to spend time with dogs and make sure that they are physically getting enough exercise as well as getting the love and attention that they need mentally. Typically I just like to go on walks around the neighborhood but am willing to take dogs somewhere else if there’s a particular area they love.

Availability
This summer I am sort of just doing odd jobs so I have plenty of time to pet sit. I am planning on traveling one week in late July and I leave to return to college late August but apart from that I have plenty of free time.
