Hello! I'm the dog nanny you want for your loved pets! I've been a geek about dogs for as long as I can remember and know the history and conformation of most breeds. I grew up with Labradors, Chesapeakes & St Bernards. I currently own a 1yo St Bernard and a 10yo Dachshund (current on shots & flea/tick). I also foster 2/10yo dogs: a Yorkie and a Pomeranian through Promise 4 Paws Senior Dog Sanctuary in Council Bluffs IA. I've trained dogs in obedience & tricks (up to intermediate) and even basic sheep herding! My time with your pets will be well spent, safe and affordable for the services I provide. I have known Karina for many years. She has taken care of my dog when I've gone on vacation. Pets have been a part of her entire life, from a child, to the adult she is today. The animals in her life (dogs ncluded) are members of the family! She is very responsible and very loving and patient. I don't have a specific preference for breeds. I do tend to be drawn to the working class dogs though. I've owned Labradors, Chesapeakes, St Bernards, Border Collies, Australian Shepherd, Dachshund and many mutts. Any size is fine for me to work with. If a large to giant breed then I would require strong basic obedience skills to be taken off your property for walks. I'd be happy to help you with those skills if not present already!
A typical day
I'll work with you as the owner to find the best ways to take care of your dog while in my care. Examples are walks (sidewalk & trail), yard play and visits to outdoor areas with people for socializing. While in my care I will treat your dog like my own. By that I mean everything I do is a training opportunity to fine tune skills and tricks to keep busy minds and bodies active and happy.
