Hello! My name is Karina and I am an avid animal lover. I grew up in the Chicagoland area and have spent my entire life with pets. From rescuing and raising dogs and cats, to caring for smaller critters such as hamsters, fish and turtles. There is no animal that I don't love being around. I have a deep love for wildlife and someday aspire to be a Wildlife Rehabilitation Specialist. Because I love the outdoors, I center my life around being active through walking, hiking, swimming and kayaking. I spend at least an hour a day outdoors with my dog because I believe that an active pet is a happy pet! I am excited to integrate your dog into my active routine, or spend some time snuggling on the couch if that best fits your needs! I am happy to keep you updated with daily pictures/videos of your pet because I know that they are an extension of your heart. Ensuring you that that your pet is safe and loved is my biggest priority. I am currently working from home which allows my schedule to be flexible, and I live with my boyfriend who is a technician at Apple. We are both huge animal lovers and he is incredibly loving and helpful in taking care of our pets. Between the two of us, there will be no shortage for love of your pet! I live in a quiet neighborhood that is great for short walks as well as having a fenced in backyard. I have a 7 year old dog who is a rescued Beagle mix named Koda. We've been companions since he was 12 weeks old. Although he isn't a puppy anymore, he still loves to play like one! He is always eager to make new friends. I also have a 1 year old cat named Keenai who we rescued at 8 weeks old. He is very playful and has been used to being around dogs since he first came home with us. However, if that is an issue with your pet, I am able to keep Keenai in a different part of my house. I am eager to hear from you and to have a playdate with your furry family member!
