I've been a dog/cat/parrot mom for most of my life, which is 40+ years. I like little dogs, big dogs, all the cats and most of the birds. We've had Chihuahuas and Japanese Chins to Pitties and and Aussies to German Shepherds. I've owned Amazons and Cockatoos and Cockatiels and Conures. There's always at least one cat about the place, and often a clowder. I've worked for vets, worked with the Humane Society, fostered mom cats and dogs and their babes and taught classes about animal behavior for the Philadelphia Zoo. I've written children's books about dogs, and my son and I were the proud owners of a retired military K9 who was injured in the line of duty before he came to us to enjoy his retirement on the beach. I'm a professional writer/researcher who works from home, and my flexible schedule allows me to play with your babies when you can't be there to do it. My son is 16, and he's homeschooling at the moment, so he's around to take the doggos out for walk and give them a cuddle. They're almost never alone in our care. We are often asked to care for pets in clients' home, and I can do that after a meeting. Before we moved to South Florida, I spent many years as an on-site estate manager at a large compound in suburban Philadelphia's Radnor Hunt. I am responsible, reliable and able to manage whatever you need while you are away.
