We are a family that has always had dogs, and we know how nerve-wracking it is to leave your pups behind. We are 2 mature professionals who are communicative and responsible. We'll keep you updated on how your dogs are doing and send pictures and updates. You'll find some sitters that host a lot of dogs at the same time; we only host 1 dog at a time (or 2 dogs if they're from the same family) so your pup will get personal attention and won't feel overwhelmed. We do not have any dogs of our own as our two boys passed last year so we do Rover to give our kids continued exposure to different types of dogs and because we miss having furry friends. We do have two young kids (2 and 4 years old), so pups need to be comfortable being around small children. Our kiddos have also been around dogs all their lives, so they know to play when the dog is willing and give it space when it asks for it. It's best if your pup is crate trained, but we will consider pups that are not crate trained if we can be assured they have had practice being left alone in new environments outside their own home. We only crate when we need to leave the house and we're never gone for more than 3-4 hours at most. Mostly we just need to make sure dogs don't try to jump on countertops or claw at the door, etc.
