Pet care experience
I was raised to care for pets all throughout my childhood, including dogs, cats, birds, and horses. I love them all! My family, friends, roommates, and co-workers have relied on my husband and I to take care of their pets when they are unable. We both love to shower your animals with love and will treat them as our own. I will be providing dog walking, house sitting, and boarding services for your fur child(ren). I am happy to follow any directions you may have to be compliant with your animal’s training or medical needs.

We had the pleasure of hiring Kari to take care of our dogs, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Kari and Taylor took in our two pups for a week in December of 2022. During that time, Kari and Taylor treated our dogs as if they were their own. Each day was filled with play and care! One of our dogs had a sore on his paw and they applied an ointment to it several times a day. For Christmas, they wrapped up a treat (with prior approval from us) and took a video of our dogs opening them up. Pictures were sent regularly and our dogs looked so content, they probably didn’t even notice us gone! I would highly recommend leaving your animals in Kari and Taylor’s care!
Kari is a very caring person who loves animals! She also happens to be my sister. We grew up with three dogs and she brought our first family cat home because he “needed a home.” She has continued her love for animals by volunteering at the animal shelter and taking care of pets for multiple families - including my own ninety pound lap dog, Charlie. I have no doubt that she will extend her love of animals to your pet and care for them like they were her own. After all, that was how we were raised — to treat animals like family.
Kari is awesome with pets of all kinds! She grew up with dogs and cats and is very compassionate about our furry friends! She will care for your pets like they are her own!

A typical day
I can play games with your dogs inside our home and outside in the fenced in yard. I love to go for walks and hikes to keep the dogs active and give them plenty of free sniffs. I personally like to take my dog for walks around Taku Lake and she love to visit the South Anchorage Dog Park. *Activities will vary and are dependent upon pet owner's preference and comfortability level.

Availability
I am a travel occupational therapist. This year I took a contract with the school district which means, I have my summer off to animal sit and dog walk while I continue to explore what AK has to offer. During the week days, I am able to walk/hike with your pup. I am also able to provide house sitting or boarding for your animal(s); I am willing to be flexible based on what your needs are and how our schedules match up.
