Hi, my name is Karen and I would love to take care of your dog! I grew up with an adorable miniature schnauzer and have been taking care of friend's and family's pets for several years now. My partner and I also just recently adopted a sweet, mellow cattle dog/lab mix. He loves having other doggies over to play with! I have always loved animals and also have prior experience working at a veterinary hospital, where I was an intern. Currently, my partner and I work from home almost every day. We love to take our dog on walks before or after work and on bigger and longer adventures like hiking during the weekends. Let us know what your dog needs and we can adjust to their preferences accordingly!

Karen took excellent care of my dog during an overnight trip. She gave her plenty of exercise, and sent me lots of updates and photos. My dog is pretty shy and can take a while to warm up to people, but she and her partner were very understanding and patient with her. I would definitely trust them to care for her again!

We have a fully fenced backyard. It’s fairly small, so it’s mostly good for potty breaks and dogs are never left alone without supervision out there. Please let me know how your dog is on-leash (reactivity to other dogs, pulling, etc), as well as if your dog can or cannot be off-leash while hiking or at parks. We can adjust to whatever your dog needs. We want to make sure you don’t have to worry about their safety while you are away.

A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks around the neighborhood, hiking, or to the dog-park. If that's not quite your dog's speed, no worries! I also am a big fan of dog snuggles and lazing around!

Availability
Working from home allows me to spend more time with your pup! We are usually up around 7 am when we feed and take our dog for a walk. Work starts around 8. During the day we like to take breaks to play or go on short walks with our dog. After work it’s another walk or play time at the park depending on the weather and our schedule. We love to be outside and during the weekend you can find us hiking!
