Pet care experience
I have always had a dog in the household and I have a soft spot for so-called bully breeds. I have owned dogs up to 225 pounds. I'm able to find good qualities in all breeds. I am full of energy and it tends to match almost any dog. I have a full time day job but I am available for before work playtime and walks. Also evening playtime/walks and possibly boarding depending on a case by case basis. All services are available on the weekends. If boarding is requested during the week, potty breaks will be about every 4-5 hours during the day. I am open to exceptions for any service on a case by case basis. I can also provide services for emergencies and last minute needs. Feel free to reach out and ask. I have a full energy 2 year old puppy that would love to play with your fur babies. I also take multiple walks a day. If you would like your dog to have free-roaming playtime there are at least 5 dog parks you can choose from that I would be happy to take them to. If your dog likes children, my daughter likes to play fetch as much as your dog does. If your baby requires a childless home, my daughter has 4 grandparents that would love to spend time with her so I can spend time with your dog.

We couldn’t be more pleased with Karen’s services. Karen and her kiddo stayed in our house for seven days, provided frequent updates on how our skittish dog was acclimating, and dutifully completed a couple of additional tasks we requested (take trash out, started a load of sheets before leaving). Would rebook without hesitation.
We love Karen and so do our boys!! She always lets us know how the dogs are doing and sends pics, which is really nice when we are away and missing them. She also takes care of our leopard gecko! Our power went out while we were away and she reached out to us to trouble shoot best how to keep him warm while his heat lamps were out. We trust her and always know our boys are being loved and well cared for while we are gone. Thank you as always Karen!!

Your animal will be treated as my own. I know it sounds corny, but it is true. I give all the loving and hugs and praise that I can. I do not have a fenced in yard, just a fenced porch. I love to let the dogs sunbathe if they would like. I have a kiddie pool that they can play in. But I do like to go on walks around my neighborhood and when allowed by you, I love to take your dogs on my frequent hikes.

Prior to watching your pup I do require a meet and greet to make sure your doggy and I have great chemistry. I need to know their energy level, special requirements, and any other information that would be helpful to make a smooth transition from your hands to mine.
A typical day
I absolutely love playing fetch and tug-of-war with dogs. It's fun to see their engagement. I also have a flirt pole that we can use inside or at a dog park. I take many walks along the interurban trail but can stick to neighborhood sidewalks if your pup would prefer that. We don't live far from the beach and 5 dog parks. We love to bike with our furry friends too. Since I do not have a yard (just a fenced in porch) it is important that our dog friends get out as often as possible for fresh air, exercise, new smells and exploring.

For the sake of sanity, I keep a basic calendar on here. If my calendar says that I am not free, please feel free to message me. I am always happy to add a walk or another service if I am available. I make exceptions to the calendar quite often. I can also do meet and greets at any point to make sure that when you are ready for me to play with your fur baby, we have the formalities taken care of.
