It’s said that if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life. They must have been thinking of working with dogs when they said that! I absolutely love working with pups, and the truth is I enjoy prefer the company of dogs to people most times! They bring me a sense of tranquility that I can't seem to find any place else. I adore being able to provide pups with the love and care they’re used to at home. When I’m not pet sitting, I’m enjoying my favorite hobby, which is playing with my dogs! We have a pet stroller that they love, so we often go for strolls at the dog park. We love to visit the salt marsh just around the corner from my house. I also have five parakeets that I taught to talk, so I have fun teaching them new words. Even when I’m not working with animals, I’m spending all my time with them! I will be the only caretaker for your pup, but I’ll have my two fur children along for the ride too. Teak is 11 yrs old and 15 pounds. Chicky is six years old and weighs just three pounds. Both are very sweet and well behaved; they truly are best friends! (I do prefer that the dogs I sit to be under 20 pounds themselves.) They’re still pretty pampered, but that means that you can expect that treatment too when you’re here! During a stay, I’m always happy to make owners happy by sending plenty of text, picture, and video messages their way so they know just how their pup is getting along. I also give them a complete tour of my home so they feel comfortable knowing its, safe, clean and dog friendly! I also carefully go over diet with owner to be sure Im feeding what they want and when . I show them my all natural food and the special treats for extra good behavior. My home and neighborhood are the best part of your vacation! First of all, dogs are allowed to use any furniture in my home! I have a large five room apartment where just me, my dogs and birds live. The birds even have their own room! We have a large deck, a fenced-in front yard, a large, fenced-in backyard, and a park directly across the street! We are four blocks away from Revere Beach and around the corner from Belle Isle Salt Marsh where they have the most beautiful, nature filled dog park in the world.

I had a wonderful experience with Karen. She watched my 9 week old puppy and provided me with updates. Karen was also flexible. I had to change my drop-off and pick-up time during one of the days that she watched my puppy; and Karen made it work for me. I's super thankful.
Karen was great! She sent a lot of pictures where you could see Teddy was having a good time playing with other little dogs and napping on sofas. Given how cold it gets in the winter, it was also great that he could use the fenced yard area right outside the door to quickly do his business. Very convenient. All in all great experience for Teddy and piece of mind for me!
Karen is fantastic! My dog Jackson loves staying at her house with her two little dogs. She sends lots of photos and Jackson always looks happy. She is a great sitter!

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? What’s your preferred method of communication? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup? Other things to note: Toy breeds are preferred. Dogs must be up to date on their rabies shot (certificate required.) Biting, fighting or excessive barking will terminate the arrangement. My dogs are not spayed so male dogs must be neutered.
A typical day
I am lucky enough to be able to be home with my pets all day, so your pup will get my undivided attention. We have plenty of places that are perfect for pups, including the back and front yards, as well as the park that is right across the street from my apartment. I love to go exploring, and our favorite places to go are the salt marsh and Revere Beach. We’ll have plenty of time to spend outdoors having a great time together!
