We have a loving home and love sharing it with dogs! We've lost Buddy, our dog of 17 years, and Bruno, our dog of 13 years. We miss them! and want more dog love in our lives but we're not ready for one of our own quite yet. So we'd love to love yours! Karen works at home so your dogs won't be left alone for more than a few hours at a time and only occasionally. (On weekends, one of us and sometimes both of us are always home!) We have a big yard and we're just 2 miles from the beach, where we love to take our dogs! We are kind animal lovers. We will treat your dogs the way we would love ours to be treated. We don't have a fussy house so if your dog likes to hop up on the couch, no problem! We look forward to meeting you and your dog(s)! Karen and Steve were wonderful! They took great care of our dog Mookie for a week. We got updates and photos throughout our time away and it looked like Mookie was having a vacation of her own! We would highly recommend Karen and Steve and will definitely book with them again.
Karen and Steve were great! This is the second time that our dog,Pippa has stayed with them and they did a great job! They were so accommodating when our schedule changed at the last minute and were great at communication throughout the stay - sending plenty of pictures of all of their adventures! Would highly recommend!
Easily one of the greatest sitters i’ve found on Rover! Karen & Steve are both wonderful people and took such great care of my koa! They sent me photos of her everyday and continuous updates. It was nice and gave me peace of mind knowing my baby girl was left in such great hands.
Karen and Steve clearly were wonderful hosts to Louie and sent us lots of pictures to show it. We were thrilled to see how well-loved he was during his stay with them. They got him out and about to his favorite beach more than once and gave him lots of snuggle time at their home. They are great communicators and easy-going people. We definitely would like to use them again.

We have a quiet, safe and loving home. It is just the two of us who live here. Our home is completely dog friendly and the dogs stay on the first floor. There is easy access to the back yard via our deck so no stairs to navigate if your dog is an elder pup. We have a large (unfenced) yard so the dogs have a change to get some fresh air in between trips to the beach, woods, park, etc.

Please let us know what you'd like us to know about your dog. We love to celebrate and honor each individual dog!! Just a few notes - an additional rate may apply if you would like your dog to be the only dog we care for during their stay. Also, there is an additional rate for large dogs 50 pounds and over. We can discuss details.
A typical day
We live in a walkable neighborhood in Scarborough. We can also walk to the disc golf range from here where they allow leashed dogs on the grounds, which is lovely. We could also hop in the car and go to the Higgins Beach (our home away from home) which is just 2 miles away. We also like to walk at the Pleasant Hill Preserve, which is one mile away. Our back yard is heavenly.

Karen & Steve can host
Availability
Karen works from home mostly and a bit outside the home for up to 4 hours. Mostly we are home. Steve is home every day after 4 and we are either both home on weekends or one of us will be home on the weekend. Basically, someone is always home.
