I am a retired business owner who loves animals and always treat them with the respect and love they deserve. I view them as God's children, so I love to spoil them and make them feel wanted at all times. I have had animals of some kind all my life. I am very patient and loving with them. I have three small Chihuahua dogs of my own and they pretty much have it made. Now that I am retired, I get to spend alot more time with them. They are my children, as I live alone and do not have actual kids of my own. I have a huge back yard with high fencing all around the property and when the weather allows, I let them out to run and play with their toys. I know how important it is for a dog to get exercise and have some fun during the day. I also take them for walks at Montgomery Park which is just a few blocks away from me. I would do the same with any dog that I am sitting for, so you know they will have some fun while you are away. I also volunteer at the animal humane shelter in the foster care and food bank departments. I have fostered several animals in my home while we wait for them to grow to their proper adoption size. I have a large enclosed paitio that is screened in where my dogs or your dog can get some fresh air. My dogs love to be outside when the weather is nice, and the patio is a very safe area where they can play and get a little sun. Even though I have a high fence, I do accompany my dogs inside the yard to make sure they are always safe. I am home most of the time, but if I need to leave the house, I have plenty of areas, cages (if needed) and rooms to keep animals safe while I am gone. Even the patio can be padlocked should I leave. I often take care of family members' pets when they have to leave town. I would treat any visiting animal as I do my own....making sure they have plenty of food and water and that there is no chance for them to ever escape through an open door.
