Pet care experience
I've had animals all my life, and am now ready to care for other's like I would care for my own. In my adult years, I had two sets of twin dogs, and a total of three cats having raised nearly all of them from a very young age so I am versed in training puppies and enjoying cats and dogs living in harmony. I am partial to small dogs (less than 20 lbs) but love dogs of all sizes. My last dogs had medical issues towards the end and so I am quite trained in insulin injections, and oral medication delivery. I also have experience in giving insulin injections and medications to cats. I am a big believer in daily dog walks! My dog, Juneau, had a bad hip for several years and so I bought her a dog stroller. We tried to not let bad hips, diabetes, or whatever stop us from enjoying life.
Reviews
I was delighted when Karen was available to watch Miya again. She does an amazing job taking care of her and Miya is always excited to spend time with Karen.
Karen was AMAZING! This was our first time using anyone other than family to watch our little man and we were anxious. From the meet and greet to the actual stay, she put us at ease. She paid attention to all the info we have pre booking and for drop off, gave Oliver lots of attention and patience, sent us lots of adorable photos with great updates and made it feel like she was a trusted member of our family. We will for sure be using Karen’s services again and would recommend her time and time again, she’s just that wonderful!
She always takes such good care of Miya!!
Great job! Would like to use you again!

I have a fenced yard and no other animals in the home. I have a crate for smaller dogs that I can offer, or you can bring your own. I also have some dog and cat toys for them to play with. If your dog is not crate trained, then we can work together for the best setting in which to leave your dog with me. I do require a meet and greet prior to the first visit (dog walk or sitting) so that we can both be assured it's going to work well.

Information Karen R. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know up front what medical issues your pet has that I will be responsible for managing. It would also be helpful to know if they get along with other dogs or cats, or kids. It's important to also know that they can be left alone for at least four hours while I'm at work.
A typical day
A typical day is getting up about 6-7am to report to work by 8am. I then come home for lunch from 12-1, and then am home by about 515pm. Depending on the weather and the energy level of the dog, walks could happen in the morning, at lunch, or in the evening. I have a nice 20 min loop in my neighborhood, or can take them to the dog park nearby, or simply a longer walk. Then there will be cuddles or allowing them to play in the back yard until going to bed around 10pm.

Availability
I work full-time outside the home (M-F, 8-5), but typically come home for lunch. Since I don't live far from work, I typically come home for lunch so your pet would have a potty break every 4 hours.
