Pet care experience
We are now in our 12th year hosting dogs in our home with rover! We have been dog sitting and fostering dogs in our home for 24 years! We have fostered over 150 dogs and have experience with all breeds and behaviors. We love making your dog feel a part of our family pack while you are away. We have everything your dog needs to keep him or her happy, busy and safe while at camp. We have toys, treats, food bowls, dog beds, leashes and kennels of all types and sizes. The only thing you need to bring is food. We've got the rest covered for you. We have one dog of our own named Atticus. He LOVES playing with our guest dogs. We have a large securely fenced in yard for playtime and dog beds in every room for rest time. Dogs are also welcome on our furniture and in our bed if that is part of their daily routine. Nancy works from home so she is there all day everyday and I am a teacher and work 2 miles from home. I am also home all day during the summer months. We spend most days outside listening to the radio and watching doggie TV. Please contact me if our home sounds like the perfect doggie vacation spot. Karen and Nancy

The dogs that come to camp with us are treated like family. We will follow your routine and care instructions. Normally we feed about 6am and 6pm but can adapt for dogs that are fed 3 times per day.

We like to know what the dogs routine is and what the rules are for your dog. We like to follow the rules that you set for your home while your dog is in our care. For example, if they are allowed to sleep on the bed, we will let them sleep on our bed. If they sleep in a kennel at night we can do that as well. The rules that you have set at your home are important to us and we like to follow their schedule while they are staying with us.
A typical day
We live on a long block that is about 1/2 mile around. If the weather is nice and the dogs are feeling good we do the double block which is about .75 miles. We can do this multiple times per day depending on the needs of your dog.

Availability
Nancy is working from home so your dog will have full time company while staying at Camp Rosewood. Nancy takes breaks with the dogs during the day to play fetch and entertain them outside.
