Weekend dog walker & home pet care
Pet care experience
I’ve had animals my entire life (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, lizards, turtles, birds, horses) and feel a house isn't a home without animals. I believe any animal welcomed into your home is a member of the family and deserves to be treated as such. I have previous volunteer experience at a wildlife rescue and am not averse to providing care for non-traditional pets.

Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I can’t have others dogs in my home due to having a reactive dog who doesn’t tolerate other animals unless he goes through a lengthy socialization process.
Information Karen L. would like to know about your pet
I need to know how your dog acts in public places towards small children, other animals, and people in general. I have a highly reactive dog and know to alter my route to avoid potentially triggering or dangerous situations.
A typical day
Whatever activities the dog is used to and enjoys - walks, a dog park, fetch in a safe, enclosed space, etc. I believe in letting dogs have the time to smell and explore on walks (safely on a leash). That’s how they get to explore their world outside of the house.

Availability
I know how stressful and challenging finding pet care can be for weekend getaways or when you're scheduled to work on a weekend and can't find someone to let your dog out let alone walk them. I have a Monday through Friday "day job" but am available to walk your dog or do home pet care visits on weekends. I may be available weeknight evenings depending upon your location.
