I am a behaviourist, basic and support trainer, and sitter. I will adhere to your instructions for your family member(s) while providing affection and safe fun! I have been a lifesaving, educating, Animal Control Director in two Tennessee counties. I was proudly awarded a Human Heroes Award in 2012. I am a trained First Responder, Emergency Shelter Manager, Foster, Rescuer, Shelter Medical Director, and certified NACA II. My years of experience include administering medications, SubQ fluids, insulin, wound care, births, disease control, vaccinations, hospice and end of life care. I am comfortable caring for dogs and cats of any age and health. I'm experienced in socializing, temperament issues, behavioral observation, and basic training (animal and human!). I safely care for small groups of agricultural animals including: rabbits, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, and more. I can safely care for exotics including birds, turtles, rats, fox, opossum, skunks, ferrets, fish, and more. I provide basic care for horses and donkeys. I am NOT experienced with reptiles or amphibians but am VERY willing to work with you! I've interacted with literally thousands of cats and dogs and personally adopted, rescued and fostered over 400 animals. I inherited a feral cat colony when we purchased our current home; all trapped, spayed/neutered and lovingly cared for. Animals and the human/animal bond, are my heart and happiness. I will lovingly care for yours. I am a full time pet sitter, house sitter, animal care giver. All ages, sizes, special needs and hospice care. I stay at client's homes, and do drop ins. I have many repeat customers and personal referrals. Thanks for your consideration! I pet sit in clients' homes. I do NOT do boarding in my home. My focus is quality hands on care. I send detailed daily updates with pictures. I am detailed; including "poop patrol." I am animal centric. Safety and love.

We couldn't be happier with how Karen took care of our cats while we were away and kept us well informed of how they were doing after every visit. She sent great pictures and detailed updates, did everything we asked (and more)--she truly went above and beyond. Our cats don't take to everyone but they both seemed to really love her and that made it easier for us to enjoy our vacation. I really can't say enough--easy to communicate with, thoughtful, detailed, and a true animal lover. We will definitely be rebooking her--probably every time we take a trip if she is available!
This was my first time using Rover and it couldn’t have been a better experience thanks to Karen. I was apprehensive to leave my cat but was quickly comforted knowing that Karen was taking care such good care of him. She sent me updates, pictures and videos after every visit and was quick to respond to any of my messages. Would definitely recommend Karen and can’t wait to use her services again.
Karen is amazing. She took such great care of our babies. Kept us updated and sent lots of photos. We didn’t worry about a thing while she was taking care of our 4 dogs. I would highly recommend her

A typical day
DOMESTICS: Walks, cuddling, brushing, tugging, basic commands, tummy and ear rubs, fetch, massage, leash manners, hand feeding, temperament training, socializing, medicines, fluids, wound care, full body checks, stool checks, as well as activities the animals enjoy. AG ANIMALS: I care for a small groups of fowl, goats, a donkey or two, sheep, chickens, and a horse or two. I do not muck stalls. I am observant, but am not a Vet Tech. I recognize issues, am not fearful, but do require a Livestock Vet to be at my call, on your payment, for support if needed.

I am a full time animal caregiver. I stay in clients homes. I do not do boarding at my home. My schedule is literally whatever your animals need it to be. I keep the same schedule you have with your pet family!
