Pet care experience
I am an environmental engineer, and have been house/dog sitting for 15 years, and am confident around animals. I also took a 3 year class learning to train dogs and puppies to become Assistance Dogs for people with disabilities, and my family and I hosted dogs in our home for this program for years. I have experience with big dogs, as my parents' dog is an energetic, big catahoula mix who can outrun any dog at the dog park, so I know how to walk big dogs on a leash and the extra care they need to tire them out. I grew up with a Cairn Terrier, so I am also familiar with little dogs. Please feel free to contact me for any references, I hope to hear from you! I am currently working from home, and have flexible hours, so it’s very easy for me to attend to your pet’s needs! I am also happy to respond to last minute requests as well. I love animals, and understand how to respect their boundaries and any triggers they might have. I am mostly on this app because I would love to spend more time with animals.

Karen was great with our 2 fairly large high energy pups. She took each of them for plenty of walks, sent lots of pictures so that we wouldn't miss them too much, and gave them plenty of time to play and get their energy out. She is very responsible and respectful and we have already talked about utilizing her services again next time we go away. It is a sure bet that your pup will be very loved if they stay with Karen while you are away!
I had just adopted my 12 year old dogs a couple weeks ago and was freaked out about leaving them for 6 days but Karen was AMAZING! I got lots of photo/video updates, she always texted if there were any questions, and she loved the lil guys like they were hers! She also gave them their medications everyday and catered to helping them with stairs, since they are both so old and its bad on their backs. I came home to super happy dogs and a house cleaner then I left it! If you're looking for a dog sitter and haven;t booked with Karen yet then you're CRAZY! Definitely will be booking with her again!!
Karen is a great dogsitter. We trusted her with our two geriatric doggies multiple times over the past few years. They were always healthy and happy when we returned. She was able to handle daily medication for one dog and other various health issues. While we didn't need our dogs to be very active at their age, she would also be great for a younger dog who needed more activity as she herself is an active person who enjoys being outside. She stayed at our house for many multi-night trips watching the dogs. We always returned to a clean house and a note explaining how everything had gone. Karen is very responsible and treats your house and pets with care. Highly recommend!
Karen has taken care of my very energetic 60 pound dog, Poppy, when I have been out of town. She loves animals and just spending time with them, but she also understands the need for rules and discipline, and following a dog's routine and schedule when owners are out of town. She has done daily care for me, and also care for a week. Always when I came home, Poppy was tired, happy and very excited to have Karen around. She will take good care of your pet!
