Pet care experience
I am reliable, respectful and loving of all living creatures. I have been a multiple dog owner most of my life, at present my husband and I have 3 rescues. I love being outdoors and walking "fur babies". For over 40 years I have have been caring for and living with a variety of pets; cats, dogs, birds, fish, insects, rodents and lizards, as well as chickens, goats and even pigs. I have several years of experience doing home visits and overnights for households with various and multiple pets. On weekends I volunteer at the humane society socializing animals and cleaning after them. My profession is teaching, therefore I am available evenings, weekends, school vacations, holidays and everyday during the summer, which is convenient for traveling families. I am available during these times for consecutive visits or overnights if needed. I look forward to assisting you with the care of your animal family.

We LOVE the pet nanny! Our dog Rascal stayed with them for a weekend. They gave him so much attention and TLC...it was like he was on a doggie vacation himself. The updates and set up of where the dogs stay made my kids feel at ease about leaving our baby. I highly recommend the pet nanny.
Simply put..... Amazing! Karen watched my dog that suffers from Separation Anxiety. She catered to his specific needs. In a matter of two hours she was updating me on my dogs stay and sending photos to assure me he was settling in. Her yard is fenced in and spacious with toys to entertain the dog. Look no further ! ? A gem !
Karen is a responsible dog owner. She has owned many dogs throughout her life. She takes great care of them. She has oftentimes watched neighbors dogs and cats while they are away. She tends them and takes care of their individual needs. She is an amazing pet owner.
Karen is the most compassionate person with all animals, not just dogs ?. She has cared for our cats, dogs, and even guinea pigs when we’ve been on vacation loving each one of them as if they are her own ❤️

Keeping as much consistency as possible during the owners absence is so important for any animal and knowing the pets favorite things, and what can be used as positive distraction to help with separation. I have no breed preferences, there is something to love about them all.
A typical day
A visit with "Nanny" would include leash walks in your area or elsewhere depending on your preferences. I have a truck (my dogs love the back window) and am familiar with local walking trails and parks. As you can see from my photos, toy play and snuggle time are a must both indoors and out.
