Your Pups Vacation Destination!

Pet care experience

Hi, my name is Karen! Dog sitting is something I have always enjoyed, and I've been a sitter on Rover for almost nine years. Providing a safe and fun home environment, combined with quality care and attentiveness has always been my primary focus. I've cared for many different breeds of adult dogs and puppies and I enjoy them all. I'm home full time throughout the day to provide the needed care, playtime, and supervision of your pup(s) throughout their stay. Our home is kept clean and clutter free to help ensure your pets comfort and safety. We have a three bedroom home with a living room and play room they would enjoy for relaxing and playtime. Our backyard is secure, spacious, fully fenced, and well maintained. I'm available for meet & greet visits on weekdays Monday-Friday in the afternoon and evenings. I do all meet & greet visits in person here in the home, and the appointment usually takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. I'm happy to answer questions or provide you with any additional info. Feel free to message me anytime! *** New to Rover customers will receive 20$ Off your first booked stay! (ask for code) *** Business Hours - Daily Dog Boarding drop off & pick up hours : 7:30AM - 10:00PM Doggy Day Care drop off & pick up hours : 7:30AM - 10:00PM Drop off & Pick up Additional Info: Drop off & pick up is booked by appointment and usually reserved in Exact or 30 minute time increments. I do also accept booking reservations with larger drop off & pick up time windows up to one hour. The stay schedule begins at the earliest drop off time and concludes at the latest pick up time. For smooth and efficient arrivals and departures, please plan to arrive within your scheduled time and kindly message me your Eta. If you need to reschedule a drop off or pick up time or book an additional night due to a schedule change, weather, flight, or other travel delays that is no problem at all - please just message me with the details. I always try to be very flexible and accommodating!

Safety, trust & environment

The safety, comfort, and happiness of your pups are my top priorities. They are always cared for as if they are a part of our family. I will send you updates throughout their stay and my goal is to stay in touch periodically, provide you with a worry free experience, and give reassurance that your pets are being well cared for. Updates are usually sent in the afternoon or evening time with pictures and a brief recap of how their day went. When your pups vacation with us in our home, you can rest easy knowing they will have a safe, fun, and interactive stay! Required Vaccines - Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella Recommended - K9 Influenza Consult your veterinarian Needing an update on vaccines? Texas Coalition of Animal Protection (TCAP) offers a 25$ comprehensive vaccine package that includes all required vaccines. They accept walk in visits for vaccine updates on a first come basis with no appointment needed. Tips can be made in person or conveniently through the Rover app by using the tipping option available at the end of your pets stay. I'm always thankful and very grateful should you decide to express your appreciation by leaving a tip. ---------------------- Special Care Exceptions : While most dogs are a great fit for our home, I'm generally unable to host pets that have any of the following special care requirements or conditions. These include dogs with high separation distress, high anxiety, dogs that are aggressive towards people or other dogs, dogs with a contagious disease, female dogs in heat, dogs that have a serious illness or injury, dogs that require insulin or other "injected" medications, dogs that are exclusively pee pad trained (unable to go outside), pets required to wear a vet prescribed cone or e-collar, pets that are unvaccinated against core diseases, and dogs that would need to be the only pet in the home throughout their stay. Thank you for your understanding. Senior Care Exceptions : I do host senior pets up to twelve years old, but they must be in good health overall and up to date on the required vaccines. (Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella) I'm unable to host senior pets that require assistance eating or drinking, suffer from vision loss, hearing loss, limited mobility, partial paralysis, high anxiety, high separation distress, require diapers, or pets that have general incontinence. Thank you for your understanding.

Information Karen E. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if you would like to schedule a meet and greet in advance these are currently optional for first time guests. I'll send you a very brief questionnaire to get to know a little about them before their first stay. Having their Rover profile complete and up to date is also very beneficial, and helps me to better understand your pets individual care needs. Thank you :)

A typical day

Fun activities will include indoor and outdoor play time, as well as other pet friendly games and activities inside the home. If they are the more calm or quiet type, i'm happy to provide a more relaxed stay setting for them by ensuring they have their bed or favorite blanket nearby. We also do one on one play time with their own toys throughout the day as well if that's something they enjoy. With your permission, pets will also have an opportunity to meet and play with another dog about their size. Playtime is usually their favorite activity of the day and a great way for them to be active, make new friends, and become socialized. All playtime interactions are supervised to ensure safe, fun, and friendly play! For overnight care or doggy day care, please pack their food and anything else you would like them to have or play with throughout their stay. A few examples are toys, bowls, treats, chew bones, dog bed, or a comfy blanket for bedtime. I recommend to not pack for them any glass or ceramic items such as food storage, food or water bowls. Pets will only have access to the toys, food, and treats that you provide for their stay. Fresh chilled water is provided throughout the day for their enjoyment. We do potty breaks throughout the day for 10-15 minutes at a time as weather permits, and then once more before bedtime. In warmer months, we go outside for up to 10 minutes at a time to prevent heat sensitive pets from overheating. I do always accompany them when going outside to the backyard. In addition, I also work with puppies that are still potty training by using positive reinforcement and repetition. If you do treat training for your puppies good potty habits, please provide the treat of their choice and I will ensure they stay on their routine.
