Pet care experience
•I’m energetic/ fit and have walked and cared for all size breeds of dogs. I have a 50lb Pitbull mix named ‘Jetty Night’ who was a rescue has lived with an 8lb Shih Tzu “Alpha Girl” named ‘Jumper’ since Aug 2019 and they get along great together. I love all breeds and they love me too. I know how some people feel about Pitbulls so I would respect others feelings and would never bring my dog along on any walks unless the client has approved it. •I wash my Pitty ‘Blu’ at least once a week and would have no problem bathing your dog too. I’m gentle, careful and pay attention to detail most importantly putting cotton in the ears to insure no water gets into the ear canal, making sure ALL soap is rinsed off and dry them well before going outside. I also insist on using warm water to get them really clean - so this means using the tub. •I’ve house sat for alot of people/ families including one of my bosses. Several references available. •I am reliable, hardworking, dedicated, trustworthy, friendly, upbeat, loving, highly focused yet easy going. I give 100% in everything I do but when it comes to animals I give 1000%. I charge a little more but I promise you I’m worth it. Because I only watch one dog at a time you’ll never have to wonder how your baby is doing when I’m on the clock. Doggie/ nanny cams are a great idea and welcomed where I’m concerned. Karen is an absolute gem. We feel very fortunate to have connected with her. She has two lovely dogs that were very welcoming and played great with our Labrador Retriever who is 11 years old now. Karen has a very caring nature and was very communicative during our time away. Plenty of pics, videos and messages to make us feel at ease. We left Lincoln with her for five nights. He was more than well taken care of and we could tell he really enjoyed his time with Karen and her family.
Karen was amazing! So communicative and reassuring throughout the day. Flexible in accommodating our schedules for pick up. Our dog came home happy and healthy! What more can you ask?

We left our shih tzu Gala with Karen for 2 nights at her home and had a great experience. Gala had upset stomach leading up to our vacation and I was worried that she would require a lot of special attention and care. Karen had such a great attitude about all of it and made sure that Gala was comfortable and comforted. We had peace of mind during our long weekend getaway thanks to Karen's loving touch. All I need to know is if your dog gets along well with other dogs and or if your dog needs specialized care such as medications or if they are shy or insecure with new people. Nothing is a deal breaker with me other than aggression.
A typical day
Long walks in the neighborhood, fetch and playtime in the yard, car rides to the park (I never take my Rover doggie guests to off leash Dog Parks - even if you say it’s ok. I wouldn’t want to risk the chance that something might happen to your baby because of someone else's negligence). When we’re home together I put thick clean towels on my bed and sofa and welcome them to sit where ever they like even after playing in the yard. I allow free rein at my home and have pass through magnetic fabric screens on all 4 of our back doors to the yard so that, after a quick lesson on how they work, they can let themselves in and out at will for play, fresh air, Sun bathing or potty breaks. I love to sleep with them unless of course they prefer their own crate for night night??
