Pet care experience
Karen believes that every living thing brings unique gifts, but also has unique needs, and Rivercliff Cottage Pet Care is based on delivering personalized care with a loving touch. Raised on a small Ohio farm, Karen spent her young years caring for horses, dogs, birds, ducks, and rabbits. As a young adult, she lived in a log cabin with her Old English sheepdog, Daisy, and pet raccoons Bennie and Rocky. Following graduate school, Karen took her first professional publishing job in Washington, DC, and divided her time between her Thoroughbred Quarterhorse mix, cat, and two Old English Sheepdogs. Now a Mom in Crownsville, pets are an important aspect of family life and include dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, and even backyard chickens! We offer home visits for just about every kind of pet, dog walking, and group dog adventures!

Karen took care of my Olde English Bulldogg for many years and they hated parting when we moved. Karen was always dependable and caring; Rufus was sick many times and she always looked out for him and would tell me her thoughts for the day. Karen I can't thank you enough for everything you did for my baby.
Love Karen! She made a fantastic first impression on us and took time to get to know Blue. We had a great week. No puppy tantrums and I could relax and concentrate while I was away at work. She eased my mind with updates and pictures. We will definitely do this again.
Karen was fantastic with our dogs. Came over daily and played with them as well as ensure they were dried off before going to bed b cause of rain. She sent updates and pictures of our loved ones while we were out of town. I highly recommend Karen
