Pet care experience
I have been taking care of friends' and families' dogs when they needed help since I was a teenager. I have done overnights and I walk my neighbor's dog. I think it is important to walk dogs in their neighborhood, on a greenway or at Umstead Park. I have experience taking dogs to local dog parks too! I am a responsible, dependable, healthy and active dog walker. I am also a nanny, runner, yoga teacher and artist. I have a flexible schedule so I can work around what works best for you and dog(s). I am an open minded communicator with strong listening skills. I adapt easily to your dogs needs and behavior. I believe in proper nutrition for your dog(s)and following a routine. I love being outside, even if it is raining, snowing or humid. Dogs love my caring and loyal nature!

Karen is without a doubt our favorite choice for dog sitting in Raleigh. She goes way above and beyond every time. Shows up when she says she will, sends lots of photos, gives detailed reports...it's amazing. We know Kerbey is in incredible hands any time we leave home for a trip. Thanks as always Karen!
We had such a great experience with Karen as our dog sitter this weekend. She came by twice on Saturday and once on Sunday, and each time she checked in on the site and texted us with photos from her time with our dog, Kerbey. She was very communicative all weekend, which we really appreciated. Karen took Kerbey on walks, played with him outside, and snuggled with him on the couch. She was such a trooper in the snow on Sunday, taking Kerbey out in the bad weather and drying him off with a towel once he was back inside. We could tell from photos and once we were back home that Kerbey had a great weekend and was very happy with Karen. We'll definitely be using her again!
At her core, Karen is one of the most loving and caring people I have ever known. She has an innate ability to share that love and care with those around her human or animal. Karen takes care of our fur baby Roscoe regularly. Roscoe is our child. (For those of you without children, you know what I mean.) We don't just trust him with anyone. Roscoe loves Karen and it is evident. He is excited to see her when she walks in the door. This is a great indicator to us of the level of care he is receiving in our absence. We trust her completely and I am delighted to recommend her.
Karen is a great pet sitter. She has a great demeanor and was very good with my pup Timberline. He enjoyed the walks he went on and the playing they did. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an honest pet sitter or dog walker.
